Warranty not long enough. Just paid $1,500 for a part!!!

2 month after installation, the system started to make loud squeaking noises. The noises would travel though the vent and into the rooms. Some are louder than other. The vent above the system sound the worst. It only happens once a day. The installer came and did something to the system but the noise was never fixed. The engineer said something about loose screw but the noise would still come back once in a while. Other than the loud squeaking noise, the system is running fine. I would be afraid to recommend this system to a friend.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
