When it was installed it wouldn’t connect to the wifi. Carrier and our installer couldn’t figure it out. We googled and found the solution, a specific update needed to be installed. A week later our installer came to the same conclusion and was eventually able to get the update from carrier.

Thermostat works fine with one exception. Even though it is a smart thermostat I am still unable to establish communication between it and my smart phone. I have reported the issue to the Carrier Remote Access Team but there has been no resolution.

It’s an okay thermostat. Not particularly intuitive or user friendly, but does what it’s supposed to do. Reduced my rating because it was an ordeal to get it to connect to the main Carrier site, which is necessary to use any of its web features. Took numerous calls to Carrier for them to pinpoint why my unit wasn’t being recognized in their system and being authorized to connect, even though it was brand new and professionally installed.

4. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
