Problem with compressor starting

Had two occurrences of the same problem within the first 3 months. On both occasions I returned home from vacation with the compressor not working. In the first occurrence, the installer was unable to identify the problem even after talking with Carrier technicians. On the second occurrence, the installer was finally able to identify the problem after talking with Carrier. However, it was so hot in the house I had to purchase a room air conditioner to cool my bedroom so I could sleep until the fix could be installed (addition of a new capacitor).
