The AC is extremely loud when it kicks on.

This is the 3rd higher-end Carrier product that I have purchased. I will never buy one again. The condenser unit is SO incredibly loud. I had the installer come back out and check everything - he ended up saying that "I just have a loud unit". I will not buy another. I will tell my friends, my family, and anyone that ever mentions AC units not to buy Carrier. This is ridiculous. How can you even put a product on the marketplace that is this loud?

We have been experiencing daily outside temperatures in the high nineties with heat index ("feels like") temps of 105 - 110 degrees. This AC has effortlessly kept the indoor temperature at or below 70 degrees during the day and 66 degrees at night, with humidity levels at or below 50%.
Had this unit for less than a year and the compressor already went out

This went out the Friday before 4 July. We had family members coming to celebrate. Had to put them up in a hotel because the compressor went out. And now the carrier warranty is giving us a bunch of red tape about just replacing parts and not sending a pool condenser. Maybe you guys would like to reimburse me for the hotel rooms and the fans I’ve had to buy to try to keep the house at 86° on the inside. It is in the mid 90s right now and going up to 104 by the end of the week. You don’t stand behind your product I will never buy a carrier again. If you wanted to stand behind your Products, you would do whatever it would take to get this fixed in a day time. Now we’re heading into Monday morning and don’t know if we can find the parts in stock because you just won’t let the installer take a whole new compressor which you do have in stock.

The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
