Carrier Transicold announces 2019 price increase on Refrigeration Units Ranges

RUEIL-MALMAISON, France -

Effective January 1, 2019, Carrier Transicold will adjust its prices by an average of 3% for all existing categories of refrigeration units across its European, Middle East, African and Russian regions.

This price increase is a result of inflationary and compliancy upgrades to meet the requirements of the Non Road Mobile Machinery directive that mandates refrigeration units to be fitted with Stage V engines.

Furthermore, the refrigerant surcharge will be maintained and revised according to the projected escalation of Refrigerant supplies.

Carrier Transicold is committed to providing high quality products and service support to help reduce the total cost of ownership and improve the environmental footprint of our customers’ fleet operations through innovative and sustainable refrigeration solutions.

Stage V engines

Stage V of EU emission standards comes into force in 2019 and 2020 for non-road diesel engines, according to the engine power. For the benefit of its customers, Carrier Transicold is upgrading its refrigeration units with new engines, compliant with the Non Road Mobile Machinery directive (97/68/EC Directive). These engines achieve significant reduction in particulate matter by up to 50 percent versus standard engines.
