My Carrier Gas furnace has sucked from day 1 and so does Carrier as a corporation!

I received an email from you clowns wanting to know how I like my gas furnace that I "purchased 9 months ago". You're record keeping is a laughable and inept as your products. I bought it two years ago and it took almost that much time for Lifetime Heating, Cooling, and Electric to make it work even close to how it's supposed to. Eventually we had to scrap even having access to any of the alternate 'modes' offered because anything other a custom mode the owner of Lifetime came up with for us causes your piece of shit to start generating error codes and just shut down! During the course of those two years we even paid to have extra vents installed to "solve the problem" (even though Carrier told Lifetime we originally had more than enough vents for this unit...and TWO YEARS LATER WE'RE STILL HAVING TO RUN THIS THING IN A JURY-RIGGED MODE JUST TO KEEP IT FROM SHUTTING DOWN ALL THE TIME!!!

I upgraded from a Carrier weathermaker 80 % unit near 20 years old. I downsized the btu by 50% based on the installers recomendation. The new unit runs quiet, and heats my home great.
Issues with the furnace

The gas furnace will sometimes not start up. The furnace has to be turned off and on again.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
