Overall good unit

Previous Carrier was quieter. But, so far a decent unit.

Everything seems good except I feel like we have to put the temperature higher to keep the house warmer than our old furnace

I feel like our old furnace heated the house better at a lower temperature. I feel like we are turning this one up higher to keep the house warmer.

Pressure switch faulty after less than a year

Worked perfectly January - February 2025. Filters changed regularly March - October 2025. Turned heat on again in November 2025, no heat. Warranty service call, determined pressure switch is faulty. Our technician informed us his Carrier representative said it was the third call that day for that model for a faulty pressure switch. Small item, big problem as far as we are concerned. We are going on 5 days without heat while we wait for the pressure switch to come in. Very disappointed - spent almost $15K for this new system and at this stage we absolutely expected it to work when we turned it on. Though thankfully the warranty covers the part and service, we are left wondering when the lemon will malfunction again. What other cheaply made, lowest bid parts were used in manufacturing? Very disappointed.
