Thoughts on the gas furnace.

The gas furnace works relatively well. Since it's been off for five months due to the change of season, I don't remember if there was a problem with the noise. I know it was not as noisy as the air conditioning. It didn't keep us as warm as we would have liked partially because we had a very cold winter. We found we had to set it higher than normal to feel warm. So, it's difficult to give you a true evaluation.

Once the technician adjusted the fan/blower speed correctly, the vent noise subsided and the furnace has worked like a champ since. Works fine and no issues to report. Thanks, Carrier.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. 20-year heat exchanger parts limited warranty when used in an owner-occupied residence. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
