I purchased Carrier, because of it's brand name for reliability. Unfortunately, we have had so many problems with it. Why would I buy the warranty plus program when you are installing the best product in the industry. UGH. I have spent almost $1,500 over 9 years on warrantied parts for labor, shipping, service calls, etc. The last item that just broke, the thermostat. What, have you ever heard of someone's thermostat not working. And that warrantied part cost us $404. Anyway, hope this review helps someone with their choice. Not a satisfied customer.

- To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation.
