Overcharged for a defective unit install

This new system is much louder than my old system & suspect a defective compressor. It was advertised as being quieter & more efficient than my old unit, however neither of these are true. The new unit is so loud, the compressor makes a load rattling sound, often over the 71 dB sound level advertised. My neighbors complain about the noise the unit is making, they hear the unit from inside their homes. This excessively loud noise has been reported to the Installer - AirTron, Houston. A technician came out and agreed the unit was excessively loud and would be reported. When my neighbors much cheaper Amana unit is running, all you hear is the fan running and not the compressor because it is so quiet, unlike my NEW Carrier unit! I can hear the compressor rattling all the way from the opposite side of my home. After paying $12,500 for this new system that was supposed to be more efficient & quieter, I am very dis-satisfied with my purchase and lack of response from installer.
Very satisfied with my 11 months of experience with the Carrier 26SCA5 and its overall value.

Outside unit is Very noisy while running and when it shuts down. Compressor is trash.

My experience with Magnolia ( the company that I purchased the units from) has been extremely horrible. I bought two new systems from Magnolia with the last 20 months; both systems are not fully functional. Their technicians are incompetent. The service is atrocious. Carrier needs to investigate this company
