Product was replaced in September by Balance Point…for a Lennox
We like the replacement furnace but found it to be noisy and we miss the outdoor temperature feature.

During the first months we noticed that the replacement furnace made more noise than the old one. This month during our year end check-up our furnace technetion discovered that the reason for the noise was that the furnace motor was set at maximin speed so he adjusted it so it now much quieter. One other feature that our old furnace had that is not on this new one is the ability to see the outside temperature on the thermostat. Apparently the old thermostat do not work on the new furnace and the new one did not have the outside feature. We really miss that feature.

I had some problems with a brand new carrier furnace control board about 35 years ago so I made sure the HVAC installers were well seasoned this time and I have no complaints with the appliance thus far. I’m looking into adding a carrier performance series heat pump next year (duel fuel). Canadian winters can be cold and I am not convinced that the heat pump alone will keep up. Hopefully the rebate makes it worth my while because I believe the product will get better and more cost effective for the customer.

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
