The Performance 16 Heat Pump offers an excellent balance of affordability and long-term energy savings. With cooling efficiencies of up to 16.5 SEER2 and heating up to 8.1 HSPF2, this heat pump is ENERGY STAR® certified on select sizes, ensuring enhanced efficiency. Powered by InteliSense™ Technology—when paired with an ecobee for Carrier Smart Thermostat and permissions for data sharing permissions enabled—allows your dealer to remotely monitor system performance for efficient diagnostics and service. Hybrid Heat® compatibility can add even more savings by pairing perfectly with a gas furnace for optimized energy use during the coldest months.

Per the cost of the unit and it's latest design it should have a full 20 year wauranty. Our original unit lasted 25 years.
Reliable replacement

Since I've had my new HVAC about a year, it has performed as expected. It is quieter than my previous unit which was also a carrier and 15 years old and still running. I chose to replace it for energy savings.
