Not really seeing savings going from 84% to 97% efficient furnace
The installer was more of a problem than the furnace

This furnace has malfunctioned from the moment it was turned on last October. While heating my living room to 66 degrees, it would heat the kitchen in my very small home to 75 degrees. (I've been through several new furnaces in the 40 years in my home - none ever had this problem). But my real complaint is with the company that installed it - Hero Home Services. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have done nothing but make excuses - they've blamed the thermostat, they've blamed the new furnace technology, they've blamed my home, they've blamed me. Their most recent excuse was that the placement of my bedroom (same location for nine years) was causing the problem. Also, the gas valve in the furnace has been replaced twice because it leaked. The first time Hero replaced it they said there was no gas leak (even though a leak had been clearly detected by another company that came when Hero wouldn't) and that they replaced the valve only out of the goodness of their hearts to make me feel better. The valve was then again found to be leaking and was replaced a week later by another company because Hero wasn't available. Hero refused to cover the $757 cost. Carrier has said they would cover it weeks ago but I've seen no check. This company has caused me so much stress and upset and not a single apology - they are a bunch of bullies. Carrier should consider if they want this company representing them. I found that this company actually has four different names online, and they were displaying a license number that was not a legitimate Dept of Labor and Industry license number, and they have refused to explain. WORST COMPANY EVER.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
