A/c unit only 9 months old and broke. Took 11 days to fix in 100 degree temps. Ridiculous.Horrible service

I never knew how bad the old one was till I got the Carrier installed. My electric bill went to half too.
Four years old and multiple problems

Just awful. Have had to spend thousand because it always goes down in the winter and the parts are always back ordered. End up having to buy different parts out of pocket so we don’t freeze for weeks waiting for the parts.

AHS put this unit in my home to replace my former 1998, 50,000 BTU, 90 Energy Efficient Comfortmaker furnace. The new Carrier furnace (90% Efficient, 55,000 BTU) does not perform as well. The blower is smaller, air does not blow out of 2nd floor registers as strong or as hot as the Comfortmaker furnace. The house is colder than before. The only thing that is good about the new furnace is the warranty.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. 20-year heat exchanger parts limited warranty when used in an owner-occupied residence. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
