This is an awesome furnace, but you get what you pay for (i.e., it is expensive). It is really efficient, controls/thermostat are great when they work (see below). Carrier customer service is highly variable - some agents have been very helpful, while others are pretty much useless. The installer, Wagner Mechanical in Albuquerque, NM has been atrocious - didn't install with the correct filter stack or associated filter, installed probably the wrong size furnace, didn't correct static pressure errors, could not figure out how to install a whole house humidifier to work with the furnace, got my warranty registration wrong multiple times, terrible customer service,... and should be removed by Carrier as a preferred or recommended contractor. My thermostat has temporarily failed on two occasions (went completely black, no response) and required a full-system restart - no indications of error, software update, or other.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
