Ductless Mini Split Repair

I was recommended to Specialty by friends of mine who were customers. The staff at Specialty are knowledgeable, skilled, efficient and have a lot of patience. As a new homeowner, I'm glad I chose them to be my HVAC installers and ongoing maintenance company.

Nic helped winnow down our available options to match our needs for our 1911 home that had no existing cooling system. He helped us find a solution that fit our budget and our home's limitations. Specialty was great with the bid process, installation (on\-time, considerate of our home, fast) and follow\-up with paperwork, financing options, etc. Glad we went with them and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Did a neat and clean installation. Also worked with moving one poorly placed register in the house.

Fast, reliable, pleasant people!

The entire staff was knowledgeable and worked to provide us with a new furnace and heat pump when our old one quit working during cold weather. Couldn't have asked for better service.

I am happy with Specialty Heating, but not satisfied with Carrier. 2 units installed were defective. I always thought it was one of the best and most reliable, but now I would hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I chose Carrier, honestly, because the dealer was the most responsive and informative of all installers I had contacted in my area. It made it an easy decision to go with Carrier.

Everyone involved was super professional and caring that they did an excellent job.

Outstanding customer service and follow through They demonstrated their integrity in their work. I can trust them and that means a lot!!!

We have been very pleased with this project. Nick, the salesman, did a great job explaining our options and following the project through to completion. He was always quick to respond to any questions. The installers were professional and pleasant. They showed up on time and got the job done. They left everything in good condition. The pricing was competitive with the other two quotes we got.

Great company to work with. This was our 4th experience with them and it has always been a pleasure and professional. Highly recommend them!

Great service!

They did a great job from initial call to installation

Specialty has been great.

Exchanged air conditioner with a new unit in approximately 4 hour.

Both the sales and installation people were extremely professional.

Very professional and attention to detail was great.

They did an outstanding job

Very professional and friendly.

Installers and subcontractor were on\-time, completed their work as scheduled, and the installation of the gas and electrical lines, and AC unit looked very nice and professionally done.

Specialty Heating employees were professional, courteous, and always on\-time. We are very happy with the experience we had with Specialty Heating. Our home is warmer \- and the new heat pump is extremely quiet compared with the old one.

This team was very easy to work with, asked good questions regarding installation matters so that the new system solution would meet our needs.

Great people to work, from initial contact, thru estimate and installation to support after the sale!

All the staff members were exceptional. I could not be happier with the system and installation.

The installation was done expertly. We are loving the new heat pump.

Specialty Heating \& Cooling strives for complete customer satisfaction by providing clear communication and expert problem solving during sales, scheduling, installation, and follow\-up.

Nic in sales and Andy in install did good work. I recommend Specialty.

Great

Went from gas furnace / electric AC to electric furnace / heat pump. So happy with the change! Clearly laid out my options ahead of time; One day total for removal and install; prompt service to set up a thermostat issue that wasn't the fault of the installers. Would highly recommend Specialty Heating \& Cooling!

Great company to work with. Excellent!

Knowledgeable and helpful staff who returned every phone call unlike the other local highly rated company's sales representative. Specialty was able to install my new A/C unit within a couple weeks unlike the 6\-8weeks wait from the other company. I am so happy with my new Carrier unit; it's great to have a cool home again, especially before the 90+ degree days of Summer! I definitely recommend Specialty!

Great job start to finish. Very pleased with the work

On time, On budget, great to work with

Courteous, skilled workers. Good communication and on\-time arrival.

Efficient, organized and thoughtful installation. Would ask for deep dive on smart thermostat instruction and orientation if we were to do it again. Other than that, great installation experience.

Overall efficient

The entire Specialty team was great to work with on this project. Ryan in sales was timely and informative; really did a nice job of explaining options and the benefits of each. The installation team was friendly, efficient and did not leave a mess behind after the two\-day project of installing HVAC. Great overall experience!

Very responsive. Got the job scheduled and completed quickly. Everything seems to be have been installed and they left the area cleaned up. Took time time explain the new thermostat and zone system to us.

I'll go no where else for this kind of work. They are terrific.

Previously installed my Air Conditioner! They are excellent and go the extra mile! Would recommend them to anyone. They did a professional job on my New Furnace! Very pleased, thank you for all you do.

Absolutely professional from sales to installation and customer service. Nik was especially excellent with communications from the first sales appointment to the follow up afterwards. We are very pleased and will recommend Specialty Heating and Cooling in the future.

Specialty took good care of us from beginning to end!

Excellent work.

I had a new gas furnace installed, and my experience was great from start to finish. The sales rep was knowledgeable and helpful with my questions about systems. The installing technician was excellent, and exceeded my expectations. Love my new furnace, and appreciated having all the registration and warranty forms completed by Specialty H\&C. Thanks!

Knowledgeable and efficient

Excellent installation done on\-time and according to project plan

We were already Specialty Heating customers\- they put our AC in and when we needed to replace our older furnace a couple years later we went straight to them. They have been our regular maintenance servicers for years.

Excellent insulation

My oversized heater died. Specialty came out and made an assessment for a complex and custom installation job. Getting the right size into place and keeping the work site clean. Their attention to detail was greatly appreciated.

Excellent friendly service. Professional and customer first attitude. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with Specialty Heating \& Cooling. Our new HVAC system has entirely revamped our garage. Thank you!

We got it installed over a month ago and within 10 mins of our first use it died. Still waiting on the parts to come to fix it.

Thanks for excellent service and installation!

Painless install of my AC. Too cold right now to test it, but I'm sure it'll work just fine.

I was impressed by the professionalism, courtesy, and expertise of the Specialty Heating and Cooling people.

Nic was very knowledgeable and understood the reason why we were upgrading. He told us something none of the others had: that our current furnace was actually too big for the house. He recommended the right size of furnace and A/C and got us at the right price point... not the most expensive (and most maintenance\-intensive), but not the cheapest, either. I was especially impressed by how quickly they were able to take care of us. We didn't have to wait months for our new furnace; it was just in time for the colder weather!

On time. Cleans up before leaving, provides answers to my questions. Explains how the HVAC systems work.

Installed my new system in a timely manner and did a great job. Would definitely recommend them!

Everything went as planned and expected. I would recommend.

I got quotes from 3 vendors, and Specialty was by far the best. Their sales person (Nic) was knowledgeable, presented me with all data and options, and encouraged me to get a system that was less costly because it was a better fit for my needs. The install was uneventful, and the job was done as promised. Would HIGHLY recommend. I was super impressed with their service!

Two thumbs up

Very Professional.

Would definitely use again.

We would recommend Specialty Heating and Cooling

Ryan, from the sales team, was knowledgeable, transparent and honest about the product offerings best suited for our home. Jun, from the install team was quick and friendly, took time to explain the work done and executed a quality install without issue.

No issues \- said what they would do and did what they said. Good company \& very competent \& respectful staff.

My experience with Specialty Heating \& Cooling was excellent. From the estimate/sales process all the way through installation, Specialty employees were knowledgeable, thorough and had excellent customer service that wasn't sales\-pitchy. I had a 5\-6 other estimates that tried to take advantage and sell me things I didn't need or tell me I needed to do unnecessary things for my installation. The installer and electrician were great too. I'm super happy with my experience with this company, and I would definitely recommend them.

David who installed our new A/C unit was amazing. He and his team member did a great job. Were very friendly and took the time to walk through all new aspects of the A/C unit. Great experience and great people

The entire Specialty Team is professional, competent, and ethical. Great customer service, this is our second major purchase and install with them.

Highly recommend. Very professional representatives.

Always Great, have use them for 30 years!,

Good heat pump installation and introduction to the new equipment.

First Rate!!

Truly exceptional customer service with timely, responsive, and thorough answers to all questions. Great work by the installation team. Highly recommend!!

Worked through Home Depot with this dealer. Excellent service, excellent people. Very happy with the service and investment.

The sales person was knowledgeable about the equipment and answered all my questions. The installation crew really knew what they were doing and completed the job quickly and efficiently.

Excellent installers and installation experience

Prompt, professional, and thorough

What a terrific experience. The dealer was very professional, very responsive and the product is terrific.

Specialty Heating and Cooling solved our hot upstairs problem.

Excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased with Specialty Heating \& Cooling

Competent, easy to deal with. Top notch product knowledge and attention to detail with installation

Did an excellent job Everything done on time Crews were neat and cleaned everything up when they were done

I am very pleased and impressed with the service provided by Specialty Heating \& Cooling LLC. In early 2019 I met with 5 local HVAC representatives from various companies to compare product lines and receive quotes. After meeting with Greg Marshall, Home Solutions Advisor, I decided to purchase a new Carrier HVAC system to replace the existing Lennox Gas Furnace \& Air Conditioner. Greg presented the options clearly and advised when Carrier offered Cool Cash discount incentives. Checking reviews for both Carrier and Specialty Heating \& Cooling the decision was easy. I delayed signing the contract until 2021 due to Covid, but the installation was completed last week. Andrew coordinated the installation with assistance by David. All went well! It is a very clean install with no hiccups. I highly recommend their services.

Excellent service from beginning to end! The entire team was professional and helpful; starting from Greg providing a genuine recommendation of the furnace according to my needs, followed by a flawless and nicely finished installation of the unit by a courteous and knowledgeable team.

Very professional and organized

Quick and hassle free.Tech went over everything with me.Unit looks cool!

Great service and the product is working great for heat, looking forward to seeing how it will cool our place.

Competitive pricing, great customer service, left the area better than before. We are very happy with everything we received from Specialty and would highly recommend.

My furnace quit working the day before a winter storm was due to hit the Portland area in February. I called the next morning and there was a tech at my house by 9:00 am to diagnose the problem. It was determined that the furnace was not going to be able to be fixed. By 2:00 pm that day there was an advisor at my home to help me decide what the replacement would be, when it would be able to be installed and brought me two space heaters to help keep the house comfortable until the new furnace was going to be installed. I had a new furnace in three days. Every person that I spoke with through this process was professional, sensitive to the urgency of this situation, didn't try to over sell me, and were just the best. Great team of folks!

Specialty Heating \& Cooling has been servicing our HVAC equipment for over 8 years, installed a replacement furnace and some duct work for us in 2013, and installed a replacement AC system in 2021. They've done good work for us and given us good advice. We are really happy with the furnace and look forward to using the new AC system this summer. Highly recommend this company.

Liked the way they presented all our options for the Air Conditioners. It was installed quickly and efficiently. Very nice professional installers.

The team showed up on time with 3 team members, 3 \-Vans...4 hours later we had a brand new furnace, and air conditioner. Everything worked perfectly.

The experience was very good from beginning to end

From evaluation and estimate to install of my new Carrier Furnace and Air Purifier...the Specialty Heating and Cooling Team were superb. On time, great professionalism and experienced installer, perfect clean up. Would recommend Corey, Ryan and the team to any homeowner!

Fulfilled my request and needs and fit me into a busy schedule

I used Heating and cooling specialty prior and was very satisfied with the service so I'm a returning customer and again it was excellent service.

Specialty did a great job installing the mini split heat pump and getting me all available rebates and credits. I recommend them highly.

My thermostat has connectivity issues that are unresolved.

This was a very fast, friendly and efficient service. I HIGHLY recommend working with Specialty Heating and Cooling

Very happy with dealer, they were very professional and courteous.

Great job giving me a reasonable deal and solid installation experience.

Service repair employee diagnosed problem, provided information for us to decide whether to repair or replace with new unit. Sales rep gave unbiased info /advice as to what level of replacement would be best, not pushing for highest priced unit. Excellent work and follow up.

They were very professional and easy to work with. I will recommend them to others

Specialty Heating \& Cooling have been my only go\-to HVAC company for years. Professional installers and very knowledgeable service techs and staff. I highly recommend Speciality Heating \& Cooling! Lee Vogt \- Tigard, OR

Specialty installed our new furnace and AC, reconfigured some aspects of our system that were inefficient, and in all respects provided outstanding service.

Specialty Heating did a great job replacing my non\-functional decades\-old old furnace and air conditioner. The location was challenging and required re\-engineering to fix some design flaws in the original installation. They were able to complete the install in less than 2 calendar days after I approved the quote, and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend this dealer to others.

Nic, our sales person thoroughly explained our options for furnaces and air conditioners. He was professional and guided us through the process of selecting the model that would be best for us. Greg and Ryan, the installation team, were knowledgeable and answered any questions we had during the installation. They worked hard and cleaned up once the installation was completed.

Very painless, done on schedule and very cleanly.

Excellent service and installation of our furnace and Air conditioner.

When a furnace repair turned into a furnace replacement, we were grateful to have Specialty Heating and Cooling help us through the process. The installation was quick, the new furnace is quiet and very efficient. And the 18\-month same\-as\-cash financing made the purchase a little less painful.

Everyone I came in contact with at Specialty Heating was professiknal, helpful, cpurteous, knowledgeable and responsive. I definitely recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services.

The second person to come install the filter broke our cat food container. $25 is what you owe us to replace it, FYI.

Heard about them on NextDoor... great service, great experience! Had a furnace and air conditioner replaced, done in well under a day. Could not be happier.

Prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable \- start to finish.

Surely will use this company again.

First, I had three appointments with Specialty Heating and they were right on time for each appointment. Second, the sales rep told me it was not cost effective for me to upgrade to a more efficient furnace. Third, the price the sales rep gave me was several hundred dollars less than other quotes I received. And fourth, each person I meet from Specialty Heating was friendly and very respective of our home.

We had our heater serviced and discovered that the heat exchange was failing and that it was producing low levels of CO, which were not fatal to adults, but we have a 4 month in the house. Specialty Heating and Cooling got an estimator out to see us the day after I called at 4pm, and we had a new furnace being installed on the following Monday. They had a great price, and helped us find rebates to make sure we had the best furnace for our house.

Great team!

Fantastic job and great price and service!

This company is superb. They are on time, clean, know their product line and your existing equipment, and listen to your needs rather than just trying to upsell. Their employees are long term and work as a great team without conflict or fumbling while smoothly coordinating activities. My 1984 furnace finally became unrepairable. They immediately had someone out for the estimate and did the replacement the next day. It involved taking the old one out of a tight space next to a water heater in the back of a closet in a basement bedroom. and installing a new one in the same space. They managed to do this without ruining my wool carpet or making any mess. They also improved how I change the air filter so I don't have to get down on my hands and knees nor open the access panel covering the motor. The found I was eligible for rebates and did all the paperwork. The work was completed in one day. I wish all businesses took as much pride and case as these folks. I found them honest, reliable, and trustworthy. .

The team at specialty heating an cooling is honest and fair.

Starting and finishing with Ryan Wills, our experience with Specialty Heating and Cooling was outstanding. No pushy salesperson, thoughtful effort to provide options that would meet our wants and needs. Technicians on site were knowledgable, experienced, and respectful. All that was agreed to was delivered \- an more. Thank you to Specialty H\&C!

Installer was on time. Went right to work. Was available for questions. finished up in a timely manner. Cleaned up area.

It is obvious that this outfit is very efficient.

From the bid process through installation the professionalism of the dealer was excellent.

Very professional, courteous and timely !

From end to end the experience with Specialty Heating \& Cooling was and is excellent!

punctual, friendly, informative, the Carrier product works well

On time and right

The vendor worked with me to make this install as painless as possible. They were thorough in answering questions and providing options throughout the process.

They were able to finish the job in a day. I had to work from home to get the AC installed and they were respectful \- they did not bother me one bit. They did an excellent job.

We love our new AC system. The people were all nice to work with and things went very smoothly.

Unbeatable service and attention to detail. I wish all businesses treated their customers the way they treat theirs.

Xd

They were prompt, very respectful and very patient with all of our questions during the installation process. They verified with us that the location of the units was acceptable to us and advised how they may be more efficient in one area vs another area. I had a lot of questions and never once did they lose patience with me, very respectful and kind. As one of our units was located near the front door, I was concerned how it may look to people coming up to my front door. They took the time to make sure the line looked very tidy near my front door and asked during the install if I was ok with it. Really a wonderful group of people and the electricians they used as well were wonderful. I will highly recommend them in the future, especially since I am a Realtor. Thanks again and it was a pleasure to meet you all! We are now summer and winter ready!! Amie Fennah

From my initial phone call to the saying thank you to the gentlemen who installed our furnace and heat pump, everything/one was very professional, thorough, and explained things so we could understand. Nic, Jake, Austin, Josh, and Ryan were phenomenal!! We had 3 estimates...all quotes were fairly close. The deciding factor was the thoroughness of Nic and the financing options. The installers, Austin, Josh, and Ryan, were concerned with keeping things clean as well as making sure things were operating correctly before leaving.

Specialty Heating is a great company for any heating and cooling system. They are highly skilled and are great to work with. Greg is is extremely knowledgeable and installed the perfect system for us. Thank you all.

Service technician was friendly, knowledge and professional.

The furnace is quieter than the old unit. Only time will determine its efficacy and money savings. The thermostat is another matter; it is not easy to program and in auto mode the timing does not correspond with my settings, an example, I set the sleep mode to start cooling at 9:30pm. The thermostat will start cooling anywhere between 8:30 and 8:40pm. When programmed to heat at 6:30am it begins heating any where between 6:25 and 6:50am. If this can?t be corrected my only option is to use manual mode to set heating and cooling.

very professional service and courteous

everyone involved was the best

Thank you Specialty for taking good care of us, once again.

Very professional; had all the information; showed up on time, completed project on time, submitted forms for rebates. All in all one of the best experiences I have ever had with a firm dealing in a home product.

From first contact to installation, Specialty Heating \& Cooling was first\-rate. Very neat \& clean installation. The technicians were very friendly, presented options and completed the installation in half the time I was expecting. I couldn?t be more satisfied.

Probably had about 5 estimates for a new furnace and AC before I found the one that just felt right and I was not disappointed. Estimates were very close in cost but Specialty Heating offered the service and trust that I was looking for. Stand behind their product and are committed to giving you the best service.

Our old furnace went out on a Thursday and was replaced in less than a week. Great customer service and fast installation.

Very knowledgeable and did a great job. Very happy with the result and looking forward to the hot summer weather for a change.!

Been using Specialty Heating and Cooling for years. They have been very reliable and honest. They found some issues with the copper pipes when replacing our AC. They consulted me before doing anything. I appreciate the fact that they consider my opinion and gave me options beforehand.

Fantastic service, top notch from beginning to end

Went above and beyond! Exceptional service. Specialty Heating \& Cooling has installed 3 new heating systems, in 3 separate homes for me, over the past 20 years. They are truly the best!

This was a Home Depot referral and it was fantastic.

This company has taken care of the installation and upkeep of my system for the last 10 or so years in a very professional manner and would recommend them without reservation.

My wife and I are very pleased with the equipment and work that was done in our home.

Eric and his team made this so easy and efficient. I had attempted to do this through Costco (Lennox) several months ago but there was no follow\-through, no attention to detail despite my repeated contacts with Lennox rep. No such problem here. Eric/Specialty did another installation in my condo complex and after talking with that customer, decided to give it another try. Smooth as silk! Now, hoping to get those rebates soon.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Specialty Heating and Cooling based on price, technical proficiency and service.

Long time customer

Communication with sales person was excellent. All work was completed expertly with no problems during and after the installation.

Was a great experience, everyone was knowledgeable and it went smooth.

Great Sales Rep. Great installer. From start to finish no problems and great follow through. Would have them back when needed. Thanks, Joe

The sales person was very knowledgeable. Can't say much about the equipment since it's winter and it's not in use. Carrier does have a good reputation. There were a few bumps with the installation, but the technician was very responsive and the issues were corrected.

New furnace

It all starts with a salesperson. I was shopping for a quiet furnace and we went back and forth with the sales rep on all of my options. I got recommendations on the system that I needed and we went through the questions and answers on why we take one option and not the other. In the end I was persuaded, but it took some amount of persistence on their side. Competitors were not willing to check back with me, but this one was calling back once a week and for me it contributed to a positive image of the dealership. Plus the price was competitive. Installation went smooth. One guy did everything, spent half a day, now everything works and so far I'm happy with the system performance. Have to wait till winter to be able to put it at real test though.

Excellent Job was done
