Overview
The Carrier® 40VMH high static ducted indoor unit is a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solution designed to support longer duct runs and concealed, hideaway installations serving multiple zones. With capacities ranging from 24,000 to 96,000 Btuh (2.0 to 8.0 tons), the 40VMH unit can handle up to 1.0 in. wg of external static pressure and features a DC inverter fan motor with multiple fan speeds for flexible airflow control. It is compatible with Carrier 38VMR heat recovery or 38VMH heat pump outdoor units and 40MV9 series controllers, making it a versatile option for commercial applications requiring reliable performance, quiet operation, and design flexibility.

Constructed to meet NEC and ETL requirements, this unit features a DC inverter fan motor and finned tube heat exchanger for dependable, long-term performance. It is engineered for use with R‑410A refrigerant, supporting consistent and efficient system operation.
Standard control quick connects and a built-in IR receiver streamline installation and setup. All system settings can be configured directly from the remote controller, helping reduce commissioning time and complexity.
