Now available in sizes from 27.5 to 100 nominal tons, the 48V is more than a packaged rooftop unit; it’s a promise of reliability, featuring advanced direct-drive ECM fan arrays and the powerful, intuitive SmartVu™ touchscreen controller. Choose between staged air volume (SAV) or variable air volume (VAV) to tailor comfort for every project.
These units undergo rigorous performance and efficiency testing in both Carrier and third-party labs and feature advanced SmartVu™ controls that monitor and report operation, provide diagnostics and alarms, and ensure reliable system protection with integrated safety components and robust construction for optimal durability and serviceability.
The 48V features hinged access doors with latches for easy maintenance of components like pre-filters, gas heat, and controls, while large panels provide access to service parts such as EXVs and condenser fans. Additional maintenance benefits include SmartVu™ diagnostics with pressure sensors and reminders, fan shutoff interlock for safety, and condensing and suction pressure sensors for comprehensive refrigerant circuit monitoring.
SmartVu™ controls are factory installed and pre-configured to each unit, streamlining setup, while the unit comes pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant and includes factory-installed A2L leak detection, outside air hoods, heavy-duty base rails with lifting lugs, single-point power and gas connections, and provisions for thru-the-bottom wiring—all designed to simplify installation and reduce commissioning time.
