Carrier’s i-Vu® smart valves are designed for maximum efficiency in tight spaces. They combine a differential pressure regulator with a 2-way control valve to supply a specific flow for each degree of ball opening, regardless of system pressure fluctuations. As such, the valves perform the function of a balancing valve and control valve in one unit.
Overview
The i‑Vu® SV‑PI Pressure Independent Smart Valve combines flow control and balancing into a single, compact device. By maintaining consistent flow regardless of system pressure changes, it helps simplify design, speed commissioning, and improve overall HVAC performance. Integrated communications enable visibility, diagnostics, and adjustment through the i‑Vu® building automation system.
Features
With integrated communications and pre‑addressed actuators, the valve connects directly to the Act Net bus without using physical controller I/O. Tool‑free actuator mounting and remote setup through the i‑Vu system help shorten installation time and reduce labor during startup and retrofit projects.
The SV‑PI valve provides real‑time position feedback and remote access through the i‑Vu building automation system. This visibility supports fault detection and diagnostics, enabling faster troubleshooting and more informed operational decisions throughout the life of the system.
