BACnet/SC Virtual Hub
SC-HUBV
The BACnet/SC Virtual Hub is a software application that acts as the central director of traffic between all node devices on a BACnet/SC network. It provides a web-based interface that allows you to configure the hub, including installation of the certificates the hub uses to authenticate connected devices. You can install the BACnet/SC Virtual Hub on-premises or in the cloud to secure BACnet traffic within your site’s network or to secure communication between your on-site equipment and an off-site i-Vu server. Minimum required components: i-Vu v8 or later, BACnet/SC Virtual Hub, and a BACnet/SC Router (XT Router).
The SC‑HUBV BACnet/SC Virtual Hub is a software‑based hub that manages secure, encrypted communication between devices on a BACnet/SC network. It centralizes traffic routing, authentication, and certificate management to help protect building automation systems across on‑premises or cloud environments.
Features
The virtual hub can be installed on‑premises or in the cloud, giving facilities flexibility in how they secure BACnet traffic. This supports both local site protection and secure communication to remote i‑Vu servers. The software‑based design aligns well with modern IT infrastructure standards.
The SC‑HUBV includes a web‑based interface for managing security certificates and connected devices. Certificate authentication ensures only authorized routers and systems can join the BACnet/SC network. This simplifies security administration while supporting scalable system growth.
The BACnet/SC Virtual Hub (SC‑HUBV) secures BACnet communications by centrally routing encrypted traffic and managing device authentication.
