Quiet, efficient, dependable and most importantly, I am saving money on my monthly gas bill because of the efficiency, less gas is used!
When It Matters Most, It Failed: High Cost, Low Confidence in My Heating System

I would rate my experience with the Carrier Infinity 96 Gas Furnace (59TN6) as “just OK” so far, which is disappointing given the reputation of the system and the level of investment involved. I expected reliability and peace of mind, but that has not been my experience to date. Many of the issues appear to stem from the installation performed by Oceanside Services rather than the unit itself. However, that distinction does not change the outcome for my family. The system failed on the coldest night of the winter of 2026—exactly when it was needed most. Due to what appears to be improper installation, I was forced to purchase space heaters just to protect my home and maintain basic livable conditions. That is not an acceptable outcome for a system of this caliber. At this point, I do not have the confidence or peace of mind I expected when making this investment. A heating system is critical to the safety and comfort of my home, and right now, this system has not delivered that assurance. Considering the cost and the reputation for dependability, I expect more—and I hope that over time, I can begin to feel that confidence restored.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
