Poor performance and support is not great

My machine is 9 month old. It makes immensely noise and does not heat to temperature. The heating is poor and customer support is terrible

Not as good as the older Carrier Infinity three stage furnace it replaced. Somewhat disappointed we replaced our old system rather than repairing it. We don't recall being as chilly in the winter while setting to the same temperature with our old furnace as we do with this one. This is a two stage instead of a three stage furnace like we used to have. This is especially seen while air conditioning. In cooling mode, there is hardly any difference between the two stages so you get blowing that is loud and louder. The system is also running too long while cooling such that I have to chase the temperature. In the morning the temp is fine. In the afternoon it is too cold (although nothing has been changed) so you raise it a degree. Then it gets too cold again so you raise it another degree. We usually do this 2 or 3 times a day in the summer and then in the evening it is too hot and you remember you raised the temperature and put it back down to normal and it is fine again. We used to never think about our heating and cooling. Now we're either aware of it because of the blowing air sound or because we're changing temps.

The Carrier furnace seems to be an exceptional product. However I feel the instructions on how to use all the available features was lacking immensely. I still have questions about some of the functions. But overall I think the furnace is well built and able to deliver all it’s claims.

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
