Noisy and blasted with hot air

This unit blows out the out air. It comes on and sounds like a freight train. Moreover, plenum whines with harmonics as air is forced through the grating. We don't have the CH/A filter at the grating, but it is installed inline right before the unit. But, we had to install a crude filter in the old spot to cut back on the harmonics. We had the technician out and he was able to help a little bit bending the grating and cutting back on the fan. He recommended installing a new plenum, but he couldn't assure that would fix the problem. So, when the heat comes on, a rush of hot air hits us in the living room. And, for example if the thermometer in the living room was at 73 degrees when the heater started, it would heat up to the 80s before enough of the warm air would filter back into the hallway where the controller was located. We never had those kinds of problems when we installed a new carrier Central Heat in 2019 at our old house. And our old house and our new house is exactly the same square footage.

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
