Blows big gusts of cold air when it starts up. Seems to not have a slow ramp up function. Heats fine. On heat, the Alexa interface is problematic. If I raise the temp using voice commands, the thermostat goes up but the heat doesn't start unless I raise it 5\-6 degrees. The thermostat shows the change, just the heat does come on. If I make that change on the app, the heat comes on.

no labor warranty for a top of the line model... would be nice to have additional confidence that Carrier will cover labor cost if it fails in the first 2 years. Also a variable fan would be super as it seems that noise is loud when running on high, and coupled to the top of the line variable AC unit would make the entire system super effective

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
