A lot of basic functionality but design improvements desired

Would prefer buttons on unit also, not just thermostat. despite replacement thermostat, remote does not work more than 5 feet away from unit. Does not keep signal with remote and thus, it cannot regulate temperature (aka turn off when reaches 75 degrees hot or cold) it just stays on until you turn it off. So... yes it can make things cold/hot very effectively and seems reasonably electric use efficient. With some help from a box fan I can get the air to spread through the larger house and not just the main room. But the unit basically has to be supervised--and what good is a remote you can't even use from across the room?

Almost impossible to hook into a smart home network. Also had to add an external thermostat because the internal thermostat was too sensitive to changes in the unit and was not getting a good reading of the actual temperature in the room (this was most prevalent on the heat setting, we couldn't even get it to fire on unless setting it to max temp)

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation.
