We had Shackleford do a fall tune\-up on the old furnace, made a fair priced repair 5\-6 years ago, they repaired our old AC in the summer \& this fall when the furnace had an issue they replaced a part without charge to get us through until our new unit was installed. Very reliable and experience technicians.

We woke up to no heat. Semi\-diagnosed the problem over the phone. Service representative arrived within the hour. Decided we would rather have a new furnace rather than repair. They would have installed a new furnace that day but we were going to be gone for a couple of days, so set up an installation day. They arrived sharply at 8 A.M. Had the furnace and air conditioner installed and heating by 1 P.M. Completely satisfied with installation. Installers very neat and courteous. Went through a complete explanation of internet thermostat.

The inspection/sales transaction was clear and concise with none of the upsell/oversell nonsense experienced with another establishment, the installation team was in\-and\-out leaving nary a speck of dust behind and the office diva could not have been more effecient.

Shackelford was there for us when our furnace stopped working on a cold November evening. A technician was at the house at 7:30 a.m. as promised. The technician quickly diagnosed the issue (it was a nonCarrier product). And after getting information about the cost of the replacement parts, we discussed the benefits and costs of repairing and replacing a unit. We discussed our various options and within hours and the installation crew was at the house installing the new unit. They worked efficiently, reusing the existing air cleaner, humidifier, and condensate pump, while upgrading the existing wiring, gas line, and sheet metal work. They treated our home as though it was ours\-\-placing drop cloths down to the basement on arrival and thoroughly cleaning up before they departed. The crew showed me the features of the new furnace and gave me maintenance tips. They did a great job on short notice. I would definitely use them again!

Shackleford came in well below the other two estimates I got, for a Carrier Infinity system with humidifier and electronic air cleaner on my main floor and a second Carrier system for the upstairs. I live in a cold climate, where the air gets really dry in the winter, which is unhealthy for many reasons. After only a few days, the humidity and general air quality in my house is vastly improved. Shackleford's professional team installed two furnaces + A/C + AprilAire humidifier in less than two days, and went above and beyond to deal with my requests. We have used Shackelford Heating Cooling for many years. They have been reliable and honest. We chose to replace a Bryant with the Carrier this time. The old furnace circa 2001 plugged up the plastic lined #2 exchanger. Shackelford did a quick and neat replacement in slightly over 4 hours. All adaptations to existing air shuts, piping, electrical was professional looking in the end. Left us with a well operating furnace with no issues. The techs did a great job in describing the unit, how it will run different to the dated one we replaced, how to program the controller and made sure we were comfortable with all the changes.

The time for replacing and updating my home's HVAC was overdue.My existing units were the Carrier brand and operated well over 2 decades. John explained my options to me, asked questions about our house and chose a unit that would serve our needs without pushing or trying to upsell me to a unit that would have been more than what I needed. The installation crew of Jim and Carl were wonderful guys who worked very well together as a team. They even reviewed the operation with me when they were done, and went over some basic maintenance tips. Overall a WONDERFUL experience and my house has cooled down as everything is operating smoothly.
