Air Conditioner Installation

Sales quote and Install went ok, but installer did not have a tall enough ladder for second story install to do the job safely.

Installers were A1 and are at the top of their game. I could not be more satisfied with Southport Home Services. I have used them in the past for yearly maintenance on our HVAC system and did get a few other quotes but did not want to change course as I have been happy with the service. I cannot say enough good things about the install crew that they provided.

Called for an estimate \& was able to have the furnace installed a few days later. Great service!!

Both technician's were very friendly and informative. They cleaned up when they left and answered all questions I had.

Had issues with 20 years old Carrier Infinity HVAC system which served us well. AC unit went out in hottest part of last summer. Crews had a new one installed within days. Similar story with heating unit in December. Potential major breakdown was on the way, so they replaced unit within 3 days sending 3 techs to install in a short period of time. Very courteous, knowledgable and good communicators were the technicians and Nate from sales/customer service followed up. Initially had an issue with the new main thermostat and Nate brought a new one out the very next day and installed it. Cannot say enough about this company. Thank you!

Friendly professional technicians

Excellent installation team: knowledgeable, capable, punctual, efficient. Air conditioning system seems to work very well, though I haven't tested the new furnace yet (July installation). But Carrier product quality control with respect to final assembly \-\- no fault of Southport \-\- is palpably poor: mismatched external panels on outdoor compressor unit leave large, irregular gaps between sections; several misaligned machine screws; and an ill\-fitting cover grid that vibrates annoyingly when compressor is running (which I "fixed" with duct tape \-\- this on a brand new, very expensive unit!). Everything seems to function well, but these quality of assembly issues are simply shameful for an otherwise respected brand. My fear is that shabby build quality may foreshadow internal mechanical issues as well, but so far all defects appear to be superficial, though nonetheless disappointing.

Install was a week after receiving an estimate and took about a full day. They didn't try to upsell and take advantage. They did a great job.

They installed a new furnace and ac for us. They were very professional worked hard and were done quick. They were very friendly and answered any questions.

The diagnostic appointment and installation were absolutely perfect! The technician answered all questions and explained everything thoroughly. The rating of 2 in Expertise is due to the Salesman Nate. He wasn't able to answer what I think are important questions when discussing the different AC options regarding energy usage and costs and really didn't seem to want me to review all the options available to me. He was reluctant to work up the quote information for the Costco Lennox option because I hadn't mentioned it at the beginning; however, I had spoke to someone at Southport that morning about the Costco referral. He must get a kick\-back from Carrier because he was providing comparisons between the two brands that weren't even the most similar. He did mention a company outing scheduled for that night so maybe that is why he seemed disinterested in providing all the options. This interaction won't make me steer away from Southport but I will make sure I fully research all options before another sales call regarding any future upgrades.

The entire process from picking the right units for replacement in our home to the proficient installers and their neatness was top notch. We are currently enjoying our new air conditioner and look forward to our new furnace when the weather in Wisconsin changes!
