Great job clean and neat crew no fuss no mess unit works great

The technician , Brandon Hall , that came out was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient.

The installers arrived late.They left screws and other debris all over my driveway. They left my sidewalk a muddy mess and made no effort to clean it up. They turned off the gas to install the unit and forgot to turn it back on so I had no hot water and couldn’t cook. The unit failed the electrical inspection because they used the wrong size breaker. The unit never cooled the house under 80 degrees last summer and ran all the time. The people at Choate’s told me I needed new ductwork which would cost another $7,000 in addition to the the money that I had spent on the HVAC unit. Choate’s had cleaned the ductwork earlier in the year and had never looked at it and never said new ductwork was needed. The management repeatedly treated me in a condescending manner and were never helpful. This experience with Choate’s has been the worst and most frustrating. Don’t ever hire Choate’s.

Jack Byrd and Jorge B. were great to work with. They explained everything they were doing and showed me the main features of the installation, which included additional duct work, a new drain pain and reinstallation of the drain line. They took time to explain the workings of the new system. We were very pleased with their work.

My HVAC system was pretty old (30 years) and there were small cracks in the heat exchanger. CHOATE had a fix for the exact problem, but I opted for a completely new system. The installers were courteous and professional. The job was finished in one day ... as promised ... and the new system works great.

Our go to for all things Heating and A/C

Purchased a carrier furnace \& air conditioner since our sales advisor recommended that the total new system would function better than just to replace the Trane coil or furnace. Had problems with the insulation but a second tech came \& resolved those issues. The carrier system is loud \& it vibrates when turning it on for the 1st hour. I'm wondering if I replaced a superior unit for one not as good? Time will tell. The carrier unit (furnace \& air conditioner) is loud. It vibrates when it first gets turned on. I'm wondering if my previous Trane furnace was a superior unit.

Excellent job from A to Z. Choates addressed the problems with our previous unit and got us the proper fit for.our needs. We now have a more energy efficient, better performing system with the long term peace of mind of having support when we need it. The technicians were very professional and had answers for all the questions I had. Wouldn't change a thing

We have always been pleased with Choate's family plan for our routine service, so when it came time to replace our HVAC system, they were the obvious choice. The process was easy from the initial quoting to the installation. They were always on time wrapped up the installation when they said they would. We couldn't be more pleased with experience.

I'm not inclined to post reviews online due to the influx of unwanted emails, but in the case of Choate's I make this exception. I've been most impressed with the quick response to requests and the follow up curtesy calls keeping me informed about scheduling and when to expect a technicians visit. The installation of my new Carrier HVAC system was a work of art, and the installers performed their duties professionally and efficiently. Of course being a replacement for an older system, and in an older home there were a few minor challenges which the installers quickly resolved. I am very happy with the new system, and only wish I had committed to it much sooner. Having used Choate's for repair of the old unit before I'm happy at this time to have included a comprehensive service plan with my recent purchase. Also being Carrier equipment I will rest comfortably knowing I have the best in the business... Thanks to all.

The installation was completed in less than 6 hours, with no muss and little noise!! There was no indication of the prior system, and Michael and Christian were extremely personable and polite.

Every single person they've had come to our home has been spot on, knowledgeable, polite and considerate, almost to a fault. Constant communication from initial planning, when they will arrive, any considerations/changes, and what they did after everything was installed. Pictures were also sent to us from throughout the process. Every interaction we've had with this company has been nothing less than stellar.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Choate's truly believes in top\-notch customer service. When my AC started going out, I called six different local companies. Choate's took my issue to heart and sent Devin to my house less than two hours after the initial call. Other companies could not get there until at least the next day to five days later. We were in the middle of a horrid heatwave and there was no time to waste. We chose Choate's that day. From our salesman, Devin, to our installers, Michael and Terrance, and everyone in between, we had the most respectful and caring employees. Devin made sure we stayed cool by bringing us a loaner window unit. Michael and Terrance made sure they got our air running within a few hours of being there on the first install day. Everyone made it their business to make sure we were taken care of each day and to answer any questions we may have had. I am sure there are other great companies out there, but, because of my fantastic experience, I will remain a loyal Choate's customer!

Choate's scheduled an appointment with me very fast and the installers were very skilled and professional. I am completely satisfied with the workmanship. Choate's was able to get my HVAC system within code. I was also impressed with Choate's FamPlan for only $24.99 per month and this is worth looking into. In my opinion this Family and Christian based company is the best. Thanks Choate's for doing a great job. My Carrier unit is so quiet and nice. The Comfort Specialist presented 3 replacement options (Good, Better, Best) for my 20 year old system. I have about 5 years experience in the service and repair of the HVAC industry so I knew what I was listening to. The honesty in the recommendation was evident. I took the 'Best' option. Carrier has a great reputation for quality. Hey Choates, do I get a bonus for this great write up? Craig?? LOL Just kidding. Sincerely, the installation was exceptional.... I don't think we ever sealed the joints of the furnace and the plenum and the joint of the easy access \\ add on air filter box like these guys did. Nice touch with the plumber galvanized metal hanging tape securing the the vent pipe. The company went the extra mile in communicating; the crews were on time and the work was great. We've happily used Choates for all our A/C and plumbing needs for quite a few years. They are prompt, courteous and honest.

Flu hangar crooked. pad shimed with a piece of wood \[will eventally rot\], circuit breakers not checked, had problems with thermostat,left blower constantly running at low power. I removed the faceplate and it worked right. Really not what I expected for $8000.

The technician, Xavier, was incredible. Once he and his co\-worker finished he took his time and explained every aspect of what he did and why, explained the new system components and how it worked. Also, went over the new thermostat. I've been using Choate's for a while and will continue to do so.

I had a very good experience right from the start. To save me the cost of additional ductwork, the advisor said the new air handler/furnace could be installed in the same space as the original though it would be a tight fit. The skilled and very experienced install team took the time to size up the situation and then fit the unit smoothly into the space and made sure it would be accessible to service should a problem arise at a later point. The install team then cleaned up so thoroughly that my home may have looked better after they left than before they arrived. And all team members were on time and very polite and helpful. And when a question occurred to me a few days after the install was completed, a team member called me back immediately. Every experience that I've had with Choates has been positive and they have treated my HVAC systems with care. I have a service plan with them and I get expedited care when needed. I highly recommend!!

The two technicians that did the installation were very knowledgeable, efficient and professional!

Contacted a few servicers 1st when my AC went out, they told about other brands and the outrageous prices...,lastly I contacted Choates, came out the next day, told about the carrier brand, even advised I do the furnace later to save money, and in 2 days I had a new AC; decided to stick with servicer and brand for my furnace, both have earned my respect.

Very prompt and timely on all appointments. Since my old units were not carrier products, there was some difficulty in determining what my options were and getting pricing to compare the options. Once a decision was made, service was promptly completed. My attic ladder did get damaged (a broken stair) and I was not told about it. I'll fix it, but it would have been nice to have been told, "hey, sorry, but we broke your ladder". I am still trying to get some warranty help for my old units. They don't seem interested in helping since old units weren't Carrier. There were lots of people involved from appointment schedulers to client relationship to technicians and each was good at their jobs, but getting them to be a team vs. individuals was tough.

Thankfully, Choate's came right out the same day I called and started the process which also involved their construction person installing a very much needed pull\-down attic stairs for a very reasonable price. Then the next day after stairs installed, the tech came and installed the entire Carrier system. All wore masks and treated my renter with utmost respect \- so great to hear. They showed her how to set up and operate the thermostat as I was unable to be there due to borders closed. So thankful for all the professionalism and highly recommend!

I had to do a major revamp of my all of my HVAC and ducts. Choate's came out and gave me a free estimate on a Friday and followed it up with a schedule for installation that took place the following M\-F 9\-5 each day. They completed the job on time, efficiently, and we were only out of our house for one week.

As someone who did a lot HVAC work years ago, I definitely know good work from shoddy work. Choate's can be awfully proud of their HVAC techs. This job involved replacing a 14 year old 10 SEER 5 ton Goodman system that was installed by the builder. I chose a Carrier Performance 16 SEER replacement system. I was extremely impressed with the quality of this Carrier equipment but even more with the QUALITY of the installation. These techs DON'T CUT CORNERS?? It was done "by the book" and my book, as well. Delighted with the installation and am already seeing a reduction in energy usage.
