King HVAC

Great experience, dealing with king heating and cooling from the second. I spoke with Jason the representative of the company till the end of service they provided professional courteous, and they actually cleaned up the surrounding area in which they worked in. The furnace was a thing of beauty and we are in the heat in the house. I’ll probably end up having to purchase a humidifier that attaches to it probably from an outside company with a more reasonable price, but through it all great experience in dealing with king heating and cooling.

We love King for both HVAC and plumbing.

The young men were efficient, did a great job and cleaned up. Very pleasant to have in my home all those hours.

The furnace was installed yesterday and is functioning well. Ratings are based only on time up til now. I expect and hope for no problems in the future.

The initial salesman, Dennis Landis was fantastic. Intelligent, well informed, and he knew his business. The crew that came out to do the initial install was the exact opposite. mistakes were made, a lot of time was wasted, and I was blatantly lied to. A second team came out to rectify what the first team did wrong. Thoughout this entire process i reached out both through phone and emails and recieved DEAD AIR. I was still waiting on parts to be installed when I recieved emails blaming me for not calling the inspector out yet. Dennis had to step in at the end to even have someone come out to finish the job. I would reccommend Dennis, but would not reccommend King.

Very glad I went with King. So far everyone I have dealt with has been far better than previous competing contractors. My only frustration is not selecting King sooner.

John was the best he remembered me from two years ago; Jeff and Jose worked wonders with the transition from a large outdated furnace to a more modern slimline one. Knowledgeable and good at communicating the issues

We've had Carrier products for 22 years. Andrew C. (sr. service tech/sales) was knowledgeable about the product line and a straight shooter about what we did not need and what would work best for us when it came time to replace. Installers Mike and Daniel were polite, friendly, professional, clean, helpful and took care of their work in a timely fashion. Annie in customer service was super helpful and thorough. All around positive experience with this dealer.

I have used this company for many years and have always gotten great service.

Company did not properly measure dimensions prior to installation. On the day of installation and after old unit was removed we found out the new unit did not fit. We were forced to have to cut entry wall and left aesthetic damage. Technicians almost left without installing thermostat. Had to get on the phone with representative and go back and forth with techs to clear things up. Technicians seemed upset since the start of installation due to location of unit being in crawl space. By the end of installation one of the techs was so frustrated with all of the aforementioned he was cussing up a storm in our hallway whilst installing our thermostat. In the end never got instructions on how to use thermostat, they did not help with connecting it to wifi or install the extra smart sensor that came with our new thermostat. Not sure if its standard with a new unit but they also did not replace old filter. Lastly, they left their dirty shoe covers at the entrance and dirt smudges all over the walls in our halls and bathroom.

Carlo Stendardo did this job. He was neat, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had. We would not hesitate to have him service our equipment in the future.

Installers were super. Bit disappointed with the plumber who installed the water heater. Didn't have ANY of the correct products and parts He was to change the dryer gas connection. Was not told about that. Was to run a gas line to the years for the grill. Didn't know about that. It's not the plumbers fault by any means. He got there about 1:30 and by then the furnace and the water heater were out and the new furnace was 90% installed. So the two installers are coming back tomorrow to finish the gas piping. Poor communication on Kings part. Also there is a "thump" when the furnace turns off. Super annoying. It's in the blower area. Hopefully they can eliminate that tomorrow

Sales person was knowledgeable and responsive until the unit was installed but unfortunately he failed to come back to install the thermostat. Installation went well but the installer initially complained about the installation and told me that I should have been sold an AC Unit (which I did not need) to make his installation easier.

After several other companies either not doing their job well and was mostly concerned about finishing and payments He actually restored my faith about services rendered in the home. My furnace died on the Friday of a week\-end when the temps were going down to the low 40's. Representative came out Saturday morning, checked furnace, and we decided a replacement was in order. He even left me loaner space heaters! Crew arrived early am on Monday, and now I am warm again.

When the tech came to clean the furnace for the annual checkup, he found several cracks in the heat exchanger. They had the furnace and air conditioner replaced in two days. Great service. The installers worked hard.

Great overall experience with King.

Initial install done by unqualified team sent out by King Heating. After 2 weeks, several phone calls, techs coming out and additional issues that transpired, the install (praying) is now complete. I would not recommend this company and will alert others to the issues I had with them and how they responded.

I contacted King to quote me for a new AC Unit because I was told by two other companies that my unit of only 4 years was out due to the compressor. The unit was already newly installed in my home when I purchased it 4 years ago. Immediately the Sales Rep Brandon called and asked if I contacted the manufacturer because even if I didn't register it I had a 5 year warranty which no one ever told me about. Upon his arrival he got the model number off the unit and contacted the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I was just shy of 2 months of warranty. This is not the first year I had issues with my unit and wish others had the diligence as Brandon and warned me of the warranty I would've been called. Anywho, besides the fact that I am possibly being overcharged and not receiving a itemized bill that part was okay and I'm thankful that he at least tried to save me some money by informing me of how the warranty works. I was scheduled the next day to have my system installed. One of the installers Jim arrived with no proper greeting. Once inside he asked why was I changing out everything instead of just replacing the unit. I explained to him as Brandon (formerly a technician) stated that its best to change everything out new because I don't know the underlying cause of why it went out and I dont want to have a new system installed and the same thing happen, Jim then stated "Oh Ok" . From then on I kinda get the notion that he wasn't to interested in replacing more than just the unit possibly because my furnace was in a crawl space, but thats something he should be used to and comes with the job description right. Well, during the whole installation process I heard Jim using profanity several times, I even overheard him make a comment when removing the old coil and how it was improperly installed through the furnace but when I asked him about it he said nothing. I even asked him about checking the dampers which Brandon mentioned that he'll document to have done. Jim didn't give me a yes or no he just walked away and I believe mumbled something very inappropriate. I did eventually ask the other guy Mathew and he stated that he heard me ask Jim and he already took care of it. That tells me that he knew that Jim wasn't going to take care of it so he did. Overall, my post is to say that although Jim seems knowkege about the installation process he is not a peoples person, he's quite rude by using profanity while working, and certainly not interested in answering whatever questions the customer may have. I did inform the company when they called to ask about my experience and the lady apologized and offered to send someone out to take a look and make sure everything was installed correctly. Someone did come out and said everything was okay and he aplogized for Jims behavior. If you spending that type money you deserve to have friendly service and someone that doesn't have a problem with answering your questions. That bad seed may cost the company because I'm sure this is a norm for him.

Our experience with King has been smooth sailing from start to finish thanks to Dennis our Senior Service tech who consulted us on which unit we needed and then getting it installed the next day, to the installers Emmanuel and Jose who were courteous,knowledgeable and respectful of our home. When these two encountered a hiccup with our old twenty year old unit these to gentlemen were determined not to give in until the problem was solved and everything was to our satisfaction. When the job was complete they didn't rush out he door they took their time and walked us through the use of the unit and the setup of our new smart thermostat.

Job by service techs Jesse and Andy were professional and respectful to my property and did a fine job installing my HVAC system. There were a couple of minor issues on the installation that were quickly resolved by service tech Jeff the following week who also did a fine job. I would recommend King Heating for installation and repairs for HVAC systems.

The installation was successful, and the installers were courteous, neat, and seemed competent. They were a little quick to give up on the idea of installing a separate combustion intake pipe, but we were able to explain to them how we thought they could do it, and they agreed to do it.

First time having King install a new system and they did a fantastic job like they always do for repairs.

They pushed the most expensive unit on my 80 year old mother and said they would replace the thermostat with something easier to use. They replaced it with a cheap thermostat with less features than the one she had and then said they trashed her old one. When she asked for a comparable one, the person she spoke to was not polite and said they didn't make those anymore. Her old thermostat was programmable with outside and inside temperatures, plus more, this one they gave her is hard to read, non\-programmable, with no outside temperature. I'm hoping they do the right thing and replace the new, hard to read, thermostat with a better one. When you spend close to $6000 on a furnace, you expect the best quality.

King's installation and service techs were very observant and showed a concern for the little things that make buying this major of an investment less stressful.

They installed my new furnace, 2 a/c units, \& an air handler through the COSTCO HVAC program. Overall good communication (from the initial sales visit to the installation), very fair pricing (less $ than other suppliers + higher level equipment), arrived on\-time, finished quickly, and cleaned up afterward. So far so good on the furnace and I'll know about the a/c units in a few months!

Bert even provided two space heaters for us to use until the new furnace was installed. The installers were very efficient, on time and took the time to explain the new equipment to us. He pointed out the differences of our 31 year old furnace that we were replacing and the benefits of the new furnace.

During our yearly furnace check by our trusted furnace maintenance man Rob a major problem was found during the thorough inspection (cracked combustion chambers). Making the furnace unusable. Rob then immediately called for a salesman to come out to give us an estimate which was the next day, Brandon came out and was extremely knowledgeable and gave us two solutions which we received a fair price. The next day Juan and Jeff came and installed the new unit perfectly and the problem was solved. Extremely knowledgeable and efficient, fair price and very competent installers. It does not get any better than this when you have a difficult situation to resolve.

My system looks great ????, it's a great improvement, my old one was over 30yrs old and huge ???????, but it still ran good, but it was time to change it. So, when you find a company that's been in the business for 120 years, there has to be a good reason for it. I'm sure that I won't be sorry for my decision.

King Heating and Cooling repaired my air conditioner five years ago and guaranteed the repair for 2\-3 years because it was an old unit. The AC worked for four years! This summer would have been the fifth year if it had stopped working. Obviously, I called King Heating \& Cooling back when my AC stopped working because I knew that it needed to be replaced and they were the only company that would repair it for me five years previously. Bert inspected my current equipment and gave me a fair price on the new Carrier HVAC system. Installation was quick, the crew was prompt, professional, \& courteous, and they cleaned up after themselves leaving no trace of them ever being at my home. Everything was spotless. Very pleased with the installation and would recommend King Heating and Cooling.

From the salesman to the installation techs, this was a great experience. Everything was explained in great detail even for my 75 year old Mother. When I talked to the salesman I told him I was having an issue with the basement being a lot cooler than the main floor. He sold me a unit that will keep the basement only 3 degrees different from the main floor ( he came through). When I got home from work the temp. was only 3 degrees off. I have used King HVAC at my old house and I would recommend them to everyone. The installation techs went above and beyond with questions and showing us how to use the thermostat also very neat by putting down tarps, shoe covers and cleaning up after they were done. I have had a lot of remodeling done at my new place but King was the best.

I've never had a problem with Chicagoland/King. They have replaced my water heater, AC, and furnace. The servicemen have been quiet, keep busy, and leave the work space cleaner than they found it. Very professional. I have recommended them to family and neighbors.

I had a contract to install a new Infinity Series furnace and Comfort Series A/C unit. The installers showed up on time and did a great job installing the equipment. The following week I was checking to see if I could get a rebate on my equipment and I noticed that the model number on my furnace that was on my receipt did not match the model number of the owners manual I have been given. Turns out that they installed a Comfort series furnace instead of the Infinity series and nobody told me, Not the salesman not the installers and nobody in the office. When I went to the office to complain I was told that the model that was installed was just about the same model as the Infinity , I was also told that somebody would call me back. When the salesman called me he gave no apology just said that they would give me $300 back or they would put in the Infinity furnace, which I insisted they do, the next day two more installers came and put in The furnace that I had paid for and this one had Infinity clearly marked on the cabinet. I had used King Heating before and was satisfied with there work but after this experience I would never use them or recommend them again, this was Obvious consumer fraud and they were very unapologetic and did absolutely nothing to compensate me for my time or aggravation. Had I not got caught this mistake myself I would've never known that the cheaper furnace had been installed in my residence, very disappointed in King heating

This is the second residence I've owned where I've had King Heating come and install a completely new HVAC system and just like the first time these guys are total pros, I seriously can't believe that these two men completely replaced my system in less than six hours. I will always highly recommend King Heating to anybody I know that has heating or air conditioning problems. The first time I used them was because of the great pricing they gave me, this time they were the only ones I called.

Installers arrived a bit late, but communicated that ahead of time, so it was not an issue. They were professional and did a good job communicating what was being done and how to use the equipment after they were done.

My furnace was acting unusual and needed a new heat exchanger. The cost for the new part was about half the cost of a new furnace. So I went with the new furnace. BTW, my old furnace was installed 21.5 years ago. It was time for a new one. Process was very easy and fast. Furnace is working like a charm. The company I used for the last furnace was sold to King. Glad to know I have a great group of HVAC professionals to stand behind their installation.
