Disappointed that the unit installed did not meet the rebate requirements for Duke Energy. We were under the impression from Mills that we qualified. We didn't. Technician was excellent.

Serviceman had some issues during installation.. they said it was due to my electrical since my home is an older house.. they had to return twice to fix and complete the "kinks". Steve from Mills Air was troubleshooting and taking care of my concerns like the true professional he is...he and his crew had to redo and adjust certain things but in the end my AC is running as it should, great, also the concern in having customer satisfaction came thru as the top priority...I appreciate that from Mills..especially now a days.

Good service for installing new ACs

I've had a unit installed by Mill's Air for eight years. The unit started giving us problems starting this past June. We called in for service, and the technician arrived on the day and scheduled time window. He asked me what was wrong with the unit, and I explained that the unit has been running and not cooling at all, and that it has been going on for two weeks. he proceeded to check the compressor housing outside. he told me he checked everything and that the only thing he found wrong was the number of pounds of freon in the unit. He told me that I was down one pound and that he would re\-charge it. After he did that, he went into his vehicle and got his leak detector and checked both the units, compressor housing and the inside air handler. He did not find any freon leaks. The next day the unit was not cooling again. after calling mill's air for the second time, they dispatched the same technician out to the house. he checked the unit again and this time he said it was the capacitor. I spoke to him on the phone and asked him for the part number for the capacitor so I can order the part in. I was not going to pay over $150.00 for a part that only costed me $20.00. once the capacitor was replaced the unit worked for 24 hours and then stopped completely. Another call was put in for the same unit. this time we waited some time to call. I was informed by other companies that it would be better to call the installers again to come out. So, I called Mill's Air once again. the schedule was made, and the technician arrived, this time a different one. This technician after asking me what the problem was, and I responded with the current issue I added the previous experience we had with the unit. This time the unit was not powering up at all. He checked the electrical lines and spliced two lines to override something, and the unit started. It still was not cooling. He checked the compressor for freon and discovered that the unit flat lined (no freon). He then told me that I was being charged for the freon, I told him that the unit was, supposably re\-charged to five pounds less than a month ago. He called the shop, and they instructed him to charge the unit, at this time it made we wonder if the previous technician had really topped of the unit. This time I paid extra for another leak search, to my surprise a leak was located within the air handler coil. this leak was even visible. We heard it and saw the freon seeping out of the unit. How can this have been missed? I went ahead and asked the tech to check the unit's warranty, I knew I have two more years to go for the ten\-year warranty to lapse. Well, Un behold, Mills Air, back in November of 2015, never registered my units when I purchased the house. Mill's Air will not take any responsibility for their negligence and now I have to pay for the entire unit to be replaced. I was told by them that at this point I would have to plea my case to the manufacturer. They didn't even offer assistance. After this mess I am recommending that no one use Mill's Air, even if they installed the equipment. As long as the HVAC company is Carrier "Factory Authorized" you can use anyone else. They wouldn't even consider reimbursing me for at least the first freon charge.

Excellent service. The installers were on time and very professional. I had dreaded the experience but they actually made it quite pleasant and after being without air for a week, the new unit is wonderful as temperatures climb into the mid\-90s during the day.

I got two new units one in April of 2013 and one in August of 2013. They registered the unit from April but failed to register the unit from August for the extended warranty and when I called they told me I didn't have any extended warranty and claimed I did not purchase the unit from them. they had no record of our purchase as they had switched over computer systems. I had to dig to find my paperwork to prove to them that I did purchase the unit and now wonder what is going to happen with an extended warranty since they failed to send information to Carrier. We have dealt with them since we bought our house in 2000 but I will not use them again. over the years their service has been going down and their techs are not as good as they used to be. My unit needed a new fan motor and they said I had no warranty. I told them I should but they denied it unless I provided the paperwork for the purchase of my unit. It was right before the holiday and I didn't have time to find it so I called someone else to replace the fan motor because I was disgusted with Mills. Now three weeks later after submitting my paperwork they have admitted the fan motor should have been covered and offered to replace it. when I told them that I had it replaced already they told me that the warranty was void now since I didn't have them do the work. The entire situation is wrong and I don't know why my warranty is void if factory parts were used. I think it is just their way of getting out of having to cover the unit that they failed to register back in 2013. I will never use them again.

Last summer I called a "Big Name" A/C company to work on my Carrier system. They had no idea what they were doing. I went through 9 different techs (no kidding) each one throwing new parts at the system trying get it to work. After a month with out AC they were finally able to Frankenstein it together. It lasted less than a year. So I decided to call Mill's Air. Everyone from the initial phone call for service, through the installation were honest, knowledgeable and professional. I called on a Monday morning about replacing my 14yr old system , and had an completely new system installed and cooling my house by Tuesday afternoon. The price was fair and more importantly I know I can count on Mills Air to be there if I need them in the future.

The installation went extremely well. The service from Mills was great. The employees were on site early and completed their job earlier than expected. The unit works very well and I have installed three other Carrier units in my rental properties. They are extremely reliable. I have been told that Carrier maintains a parts supply locally here in Orlando and that if it should ever come to needing any parts years down the road that I should have replacements installed the same day. This is a big factor as once before I had to wait for parts for another a/c unit from Goodman that I had to wait a week for parts to be shipped from out west US.

Works well overall outside fan unit makes loud noise at start up ...inside unit is poorly designed for filter replacement ...too hard to reach ..take out and put in and could have had better positioning for more closet space

The process was not complicated. However it would not let me enter the model number as it appears in the unit. After making a phone call I was inform that's is is ok as long as it was computer generated by entering the serial number.

What a fantastic company that truly cares. They took the time to find just the right new 4 ton Carrier A/C system, that suits my needs the best. They cared enough to go into the attic and if they saw a few issues, they would fix them and they knew that adding another return would created better air flow to my new system, since I was going from a 3.5 ton to a 4 ton. Their price is very fair. THey respond quickly for an estimate and did a beautiful install job and replaced parts correctly and installed with ease and their install crew was extremely nice, courteous, knowledgable, kind, respectful to my property and if you need a company to install, this is it, look no further. Other companies, wouldn't go look up in your attic, or tried to give estimates over the phone without coming out. This one is complete, they really take the time to know stuff like if you need a bigger breaker, or if your ductwork is okay, especially going to a larger tonage. Completely pleasant, helpful, knowledgable, kind company and experience. Go with them, you will be so happy. I had 1 system installed about 1 year ago and had no issues and that was a 17 Seer Carrier system. So, I knew installing my new 4 ton system would go just as easy and we are happy. Super trust this company, from past and present experiences.

When I scheduled an appointment to have our air conditioner serviced because even though we closed on our home on 5/24/2016 and moved in on 6/13/2016, the air conditioner started to make an unusual noise a week ago. I was given an appointment for yesterday, for the technician's arrival time to take place somewhere between from 8:00 a.m. \- 12:00 p.m. The technician not only didn't arrive during that period of time, but I called Mills Air a few minutes before 1:00 p.m. to see if I could find out an approximate time when it was anticipated when he will arrive. I initially talked with Sophia who was friendly and professional. She passed the call to Marty who was anything but friendly and professional. He nervously kept talking in circles and sounded like he was trying to cover his tracks. I said it's now 1:00 p.m. and I haven't heard anything from the technician or from their office regarding any delays, or an anticipated time when the technician will arrive. Being delayed is one thing, but as a customer being left uninformed, it is really not good customer service. A simple call from their office or the technician would have really been appreciated. He sounded nervous and like he was making up answers such as, "Oh, I called you." I told him that I hadn't received a call from him so that's why I'm calling. Because he kept insisting that he did and he was making that up, I asked him what phone number he had called to talk with me. He didn't have an answer for that. Sheepishly, he said he had not called me. The more he talked the more it sounded like he is extremely unorganized and he doesn't have the skill level to handle his job well. The most disappointing part of talking with him is that he kept ratcheting up the conversation with me, which was not helpful at all. As far as the technician, he arrived at 4:30 p.m. and acted like he hates his job, and was having a really bad day. After he left I saw shreds of debris on the floor that he had left there from working on the air conditioner. I've talked with Darlene and Sophia who work in Mills Air's office. The interaction with them has been good. However, Marty and the technician leave a lot to be desired as far as their interaction with a customer. Previously with our other home, we used Ferran's over a period of many years. Every single time no matter who we talked with on the phone, or which technician came to our home for our air conditioning and electrical needs, they were always friendly, reasonably priced and acted like they were happy to provide their service.
