I may be biased, but I will be honest

We bought this unit because it was exactly what we wanted for Florida weather. So far it operates just as we hoped. I do have to mention what happened. Six months after installing, one of the boards went out during the coldest week in decades. We went without heat for 8 days until the board came in. Apparently this was a known issue by Carrier. A few months later when Florida weather came back the unit stopped working again. At first they thought it was a sensor, replaced it, still didn't work. I said I wanted a completely new unit and Carrier obliged. You can understand my bias. I love the unit and understand things happen. We shall see if it lasts.
Quiet but Not As Advertised

Heat pump cools well and runs very quietly, but does not provide as much heat as advertised. The system takes about two degrees beyond what is programmed to activate, resulting in a lapse in performance. Installers were unsure of how to install the system and needed several callbacks to properly complete the installation.
Unfortunately my experience with this unit #37MURAQ60AA3 has been very disappointing. It’s not working for 5 days and Carrier does not have replacement parts available for this unit.

Very disappointing warranty which is very limited for a nine month old product. The only unit in this house in Florida and has not been working for 5 days with no definite solution.
