Major issues with new infinity furnace that took days to resolve while we went without heat. No real communication from anyone.
From what I understand Carrier shipped out a new model of the infinity furnace that we ordered with bad inducer motors. Three days after installation the furnace would turn on, ignite, then turn off. Modern Mechanical came out and replaced the inducer motor 3 times but it kept burning out. After several days without any heat on our main floor, which we had to use multiple electric space heaters to keep from freezing, they replaced the motor with a different brand. Since that point the unit has worked but I have very little confidence in this system and really wish we had gone with a different brand. Plus I am dreading the power bill for running 3 electric space heaters all day. While I understand the issue was a manufacturer defect we were left without heat for several days in the middle of 20\-30 degree days. After our last carrier install didn't go well I was very hesitant to do it again and I can now say for sure I will never buy carrier again. Horrible experience.
