Carrier Transicold Previews Latest Innovations at Solutrans
Presented at Solutrans, Booth D065, Nov. 21-25

Carrier Transicold previews a selection of its latest innovations to further support its customers’ energy transition and decarbonization plans ahead of the Solutrans biennial trade show for road and urban transport professionals. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

Among the new products presented at the show, Carrier Transicold will announce the certification of part of its Vector® and Supra® refrigeration unit ranges for the use of B100 FAME biofuel in compliance with standard EN14214. The use of this premium fuel, made from 100% fatty acid methyl esters, will reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by at least 60% compared with fossil diesel for all new units compatible with this alternative fuel from 2024. Vector and Supra refrigeration units can already run on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) fuel as an alternative to diesel.

In the semi-trailer range, Carrier Transicold will present the Vector® eCool motorless, all-electric, fully autonomous refrigeration system. New this year, the unit's battery has been certified R100, guaranteeing the highest level of safety. Carrier Transicold has also obtained European Type Approval from France and Germany, certifying vehicles equipped with the all-electric system. Carrier Transicold will also highlight the launch of the new Vector® HE 17, a system featuring variable frequency technology on the compressor combined with Carrier's E-Drive all-electric architecture. Compared with the Vector 1550, the Vector HE 17 reduces fuel consumption by 30% and CO2 emissions by 20%.

In truck solutions, attendees will discover the Syberia eCool range. These 100% electric refrigeration units, featuring E-Drive technology, are equipped with hermetic scroll compressors and are available in multi-temperature versions. PIEK-certified, these new systems generate no direct emissions and offer ultra-quiet operation, compatible with both internal combustion and electric vehicles. The Supra HE 11 and HE 13 multi-temperature versions will also be presented. The noise level of the Supra HE range has been reduced by 2dB and its carbon footprint improved. Additionally, the units consume less fuel and refrigerant charge.

In the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) range, Carrier Transicold will exhibit three models: the Pulsor eCool, the first system in its class designed to operate directly on the high-voltage direct current generated by an electric vehicle's batteries; the Neos HE 200, an electric system for small vehicles, both thermal and electric; and the Xarios 8® MT, an ideal unit for 7.5T trucks. Available in a multi-temperature version, the Xarios 8 is equipped with new evaporators specifically developed for the unit.

For accessories, Carrier Transicold will launch a range of reverse-reading displays. Installed on the front of a semi-trailer or truck body, this plug-and-play solution enables the driver to read the key indicators of the refrigeration unit in the vehicle's rearview mirror without having to stop the vehicle to check them. The displays are compatible with the Vector and Supra ranges and can be retrofitted or installed on new vehicles.

Carrier Transicold will also present its range of solar panels (50 and 110 watts) designed to improve the life of 12-volt batteries used in refrigeration units for semi-trailers, as well as its remote control box for the Vector and Supra ranges. This additional box, which is installed in the refrigeration box at the rear of the truck, gives the driver easier access to the refrigeration unit's functions during loading and unloading operations.

In addition, Carrier Transicold will showcase the latest additions to the Lynx Fleet digital platform offering powerful capabilities to strengthen cold chains by applying advanced IoT, machine learning and analytics.
