New Carrier furnace install.

Furnace worked fine. When we installed it, we could not get the carrier thermostat to properly control it. ( it would overshoot the temp that was set by 1-2 degrees). We tried 2-3 carrier thermostats with the same results. On the advice of the repair tech, we installed a Honeywell thermostat which worked fine. I even called the carrier tech support people- they were no help. In fact, they got back to me about 3 months after we got it working with the Honeywell thermostat. They seemed to be puzzled by the lack of ability to control their Furnace. I think a Carrier Tech rep should have made a house call to figure out what was wrong. My furnace was installed by Hero of Bloomington,mn. They did a good job. I also got a new Air conditioner at the same time.

Terrible quality. The HVAC company came back three times to randomly replace parts hoping to fix the problem. I believe it's fixed now, but THREE service calls and replacement components to "fix" an expensive BRAND NEW furnace is unacceptable.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
