Questionable

I replaced it to save money on my bill. Each month the local gas company prints out a comparison chart of how you compare to your neighbors. Before I was always {Great} now I'm only good. It may have to do with the controller?

Good furnace once squeaky noises where fixed.

After first installed the blower fan was noisy. Technician had to come out twice to "bend metal" to solve the squeaky noise problems.

Auxiliary heat source

We installed this furnace last summer as backup propane heat so it's been used very little so far. It's set to come on based on the outside temperature setting. It's very quiet and has produced great heat. So far it seems to be energy efficient with the propane but we had a warm winter and did not use it much. So far very pleased.

Carrier Infinity 80 Gas Furnace

Not that quiet when first starting up. Needs lots of outside fresh air, so cold air is constantly entering the house. The furnace cabinet is not square, so the outer main door does not fit flush with the cabinet. The warranty is reduced if not registered within 90 days of installation. Buyer Beware.
