After research and 4 quotes, we chose Brennan to install 2 new furnaces in our home of 3200 sf. We replaced one gas furnace for our less\-used downstairs with a gas furnace, and replaced the upstairs main living space gas furnace with a heat pump and air handler. We were committed to decreasing our carbon footprint. We were told that electrical bills would be a little higher. When we started getting the bills, we were flabbergasted! After living with our new furnaces since late Sepetmber, 2021, we feel the need to give you information about how the bills come in after a conversion such as ours. Comparing our November 2020 – February 2021 electric and gas bills with 2 old gas furnaces, to November 2021 \- February 2022 electric and gas bills, this is how it went: Seattle City Light Nov\-Dec 2020 $184.48 Nov\-Dec 2021 $505.27 Jan\-Feb 2021 $243.49 Jan\-Feb 2022 $890.42 Puget Sound Energy Nov\-Dec 2020 $339.52 Nov\-Dec 2021 $121.70 Jan\-Feb 2021 $387.60 Jan\-Feb 2022 $219.57 Out of pocket: $1155.09 $1736.96 In a nutshell: • Original interactions with saleperson for quote and follow up was all positive • Installation was timely and efficient but no instruction nor owner's manuals were given. We received all the technical installation manuals! But received (and still have) no information about the significance of "Aux" or "Emerg" heating on the thermostat. • When the new high electric bill arrived, saleman arranged for a tech to come to check everything • The Tech was also efficient, kind and very infomative. He was the first to tell us about how heat pumps and air handlers should be set totally differently than how we have previously set gas, with little swing in day and night temperatures, along with other settings to decrease electricity use. We experienced a great deal of disappointment in Brennan because of the surprising tripling of our electric bills. We now acknowlege that our gas bills went down, but hadn't put this all together at the time. Consequently, many of our friends and family heard about our dismay with Brennan. Our conclusions are that a bit of education (maybe a one pager), and even some hand holding, about an expensive system for which we have no experience would have made all the difference in the world in how we felt about our investment with Brennan.

I had an issue with the first Brennan employee I encountered who came out to do the bid. Due to issues with that employee the initial estimate expired. When I called the company to see if I could get the same estimate, she said that I would have to contact the original employee as they apparently cannot see the estimates in the computer system. I don't understand why an employee would not be able to see estimates from another employee with their company. I have never encountered that issue because most companies have that as part of the database. I didn't explain why but requested someone else come out to give me an estimate. That employee was very nice and friendly but he did not include an upgrade that was in the first estimate. I told him I could show him that estimate but he never even volunteered to offer to discuss it with his manager. The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me so even though I didn't want to get the original employee in trouble, I contacted the employee who gave me the second estimate and he provided me the email address of his manager. He contacted me to say that his manager would like me to forward the initial estimate and emails to the manager's email address which I had already done. I think the day before the install the employee called me back and said the manager had okayed the upgrade. I have never had a manager use an employee as a go between. I was never contacted by the manager directly. I also realized the night before installation that I had never been given a window of when they would arrive or how much advance notice they would give me before arriving. This is also an issue I have not encountered and I should mention that in the past year and a half I have dealt with many contractors for various home improvement projects. The installers were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. However, I was not advised that another employee would be coming by to do heat duct testing so I was surprised when another employee showed up.

Unambiguous cost, competitive price, through explanation of hardware and process, experienced workers, and respect of my property.

Initial up\-front diagnosis provided options. Pricing was competitive. Prompt service/delivery and a high\-quality installation.

Technicians who installed our system were great. Brennan Heating and Service did a great job. Had one glitch due to design of our house and the technicians brainstormed multiple solutions with us and let us decide what to do. It involved some extra work which they took care of with no hesitation whatsoever and did very well.

They are very knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and professional and the quality of their work is superb.

Brennan installed my new furnace and air conditioning within a week. Fast service without problems.

Very helpful deciding which new furnace to install. However, they did not install an emergency shut\-off part, and the furnace did not pass inspection with the City. Difficult getting a convenient appointment to fix the issue.

This installation was a simple replacement, so there was minimal problem solving needed.

Everything about the entire process has been perfect.

Nice job, was a tough one that they found a way to make work.

Only comment, I cannot close the door to the HVAC room because of some interference with the door and gas line. Need Brennan to come out and fix.

The Brennan crew did a fantastic job of replacing an old furnace with a new Carrier. We are very happy clients now.

The equipment, scheduling and installation went very well and we are happy with the result. We have, however, not been able to get an answer to a very simple question the install tech could relay to us. The company, however, either doesn't know who did the work or is unwilling to have him talk with us. Otherwise, the experience was first rate.
