The new heating and air conditioner system that was installed was for my mother. My husband and I have used Modern Mechanical for the past several years and we knew they were the ones to call when my mother's furnace stopped working. Modern Mechanical has always done an excellent job with any service we have needed and we would highly recommend them. Their reps are very kind and respectful and we know they will do the job right.

Great customer service

At the time of the Carrier 5 Ton Variable Speed Infinity Air Handler FE4ANF006L00, the air handler was defective. I was reluctantly told by the installer that the heat element had a module or resistor that was made for a commercial unit and the system failed system checks. The heat from this air handler would not work until this was corrected. The installer could not get a replacement part for several days. When they arrived and installed the replacement module it had the same issue. Another week went by before a third attempt was made. This time it did work. I had to take three days off from work for this installation. The installer (Modern Mechanical) would do nothing to compensate for my time and aggravation. The salesmen stated that "I wanted to let you know that we did not manufacture these units we just put in what is given to us. We understand things happen, maybe the guy who puts this part together was having a bad day who knows!" I don't consider these statements to be an endorsement for the installer or the manufacturer.

I have a broken door because of maintenance guys trying to open left side. The did not resolve my issue.

Modern Mechanical performed an installation which required thinking outside the box. They removed the previously installed equipment which had been mounted on concrete blocks and plywood then they correctly installed the Carrier unit.

Excellent Work!

From what I understand Carrier shipped out a new model of the infinity furnace that we ordered with bad inducer motors. Three days after installation the furnace would turn on, ignite, then turn off. Modern Mechanical came out and replaced the inducer motor 3 times but it kept burning out. After several days without any heat on our main floor, which we had to use multiple electric space heaters to keep from freezing, they replaced the motor with a different brand. Since that point the unit has worked but I have very little confidence in this system and really wish we had gone with a different brand. Plus I am dreading the power bill for running 3 electric space heaters all day. While I understand the issue was a manufacturer defect we were left without heat for several days in the middle of 20\-30 degree days. After our last carrier install didn't go well I was very hesitant to do it again and I can now say for sure I will never buy carrier again. Horrible experience.

When my a/c broke this summer, I had to replace it quickly during our 90 degree days. Modern Mechanical responded and a new system was installed by their skilled technicians. I would recommend this company.
