Drew did an outstanding job of explaining and demonstrating what our AC issues were and precisely what would be needed and the cost. He took extensive video before the work and during the process to help explain and document the work. His communication skills were excellent, and his overall demeanor instilled confidence and trust. He sold us on Carrier and we've been very pleased to date!

I am so thankful for Red Star!! I have their maintenance contract now. They have been taking care of my AC repair and maintenance needs for several years now. Most recently my unit outside packed up on Sunday. They had replaced the attic unit a few years ago with the forethought and preparation that some day we would have to do the outside unit so it was forward compatible. I am a single mom and am so thankful for all the ways they work to save me money and make things work better and longer and together! They came out yesterday and worked all afternoon and into the evening in the heat and got us up and running again. Even installed a fancy new wifi thermostat to bring me in to the modern times. All at a super great price!! :) The one I had was probably 30 years old or more. Today I sit in the cool to write up this review. They are friendly, efficient and know their stuff! I have dealt with A/C service companies since buying my first house 46 years ago. Red Star is BY FAR the best I have ever dealt with. In a league of their own. All aspects: knowledge, demeanor, punctuality, attention to detail, dependability, customer interface, etc. Truly wish I had found them years ago.

Install was done quickly and efficiently. The Salesman,servicemen were all knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions. Better communication among co\-workers is the only thing that is needed in my opinion.

IThe old A/C had been only working intermittently. The company that had the service contract was slow to respond, and didn't know how to identify or fix the problem. The technician at Redstar knew immediately what was wrong. It was clear that he was an expert. By the time I called Redstar in the compressor had failed, so I had to install a new unit. They found me a new unit that best fit my requirements, and installed it the next day. They would have installed it the same day except one of their installation techs had been overcome by the heat and humidity so we jointly agreed to wait until the next morning when it would be cooler. I have worked with Redstar for 6 years now and have been completely satisfied with their work on every occasion.

Best service

I have had several AC companies come out for the past 10 years to try and get my AC system cooling more evenly. Every company said that it was a ducting issue and there was nothing that could be done. My AC quit working and I called Red Star\-\-they had a tech out that day and he spent a couple of hours figuring out the issue. He told me we had a ducting problem and that they could reroute the ducting\-\-I almost fell over! The owner of the company came out that night at 9 p.m. (we live in Houston and no AC is impossible in June) and looked at out ducting so he could draw out a new scheme. The techs were at our door the next morning with everything they needed for the 2 day job. They worked until 8 p.m. but finished everything in one day! And my AC has never worked so well. Customer service after the installation has been excellent\-\-I call and they send out someone right away. Special shout out to Eric, the Head Tech and to Joe, the owner. Red Star is professional, knowledgeable and treats their customers right.

All options were very well explained and I was quite comfortable making the purchase. The installation went very smooth and the crew cleaned everything up very well. The owner came by later to explain the controls and all is well.

Red Star Cooling \& Heating is one of the best, if not THE best, residential AC subcontractors in all of Houston, Texas. Their pricing is reasonable, they do not take advantage of their customers, they're very respectful to their clients, explain equipment issues and costs thoroughly and understandingly, and they're committed to doing whatever it takes to complete their work as efficiently as possible....highly recommend these guys!!!!
