This company came in with a fair price, scheduled the work quickly, showed up on time and completed the installation quickly. The unit itself is way better than the old one \-\- I keep the thermostat on 2 degrees higher than the old unit, and it's colder in the house! Mary helped me choose the right model, and I'm really happy with the whole process.

I had a leak in the evaporator coil. With a 7 year old unit I would expect a simple slab coil replacement, recharge the system, pay the $750\-$1000 bill and move on. When it came for the estimate to replace, it was $1980 for a coil replacement or $2350 for a whole new Air handler, (new pan on both estimates). this was a cake job as the unit is in the attic with spray foamed rafters so the temp was roughly the same as the living space. I understand upselling as I had my own HVAC business. Had I had the time, gauge set for 410a and a cylinder of 410a, I would have done it myself. It was hot and I didn't have time to shop around. I went with Dean Custom Air because they were the original installers. I had just purchased this 3 months ago. I am not upset with the air handler, the install or the price for the install. I'm upset for the wildly overpriced evap coil replacement estimate.. I guarantee I will shop around for another carrier dealer for the condensing unit replacement in about 4\-5 years. I like carrier for the longevity and reliability but I don't like the installer's tactics, especially when the client was in the business…

Diagnosed freon leaking on coils and could recharge but no guarantee of length of working. Suggested replacing entire unit and got quote same day. Next day at 0900 here and replaced in 2 hours. Very quiet unit.

The guys who did the replacement work showed up on time, we're very friendly and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. The coil that was sent was the wrong size so one of the guys left to get the correct part and the other stayed to continue with the condenser installation. They gave me the owners booklet and the info i needed to register the products online. Will recommend them to anyone who asks me.

After using our A/C unit for the first time, after two days we experienced no cool air. When the tech from Dean Custom Air arrived he discovered a leak at the suction connection at the evaporator coil. He had to reweld the connection and recharge the system. Danny C. was knowledgeable about the problem. solved it and got our system running. Unfortunately, the problem was the result of shoddy workmanship and incomplete testing of the system before we took ownership of our new home. Whoever was supposed to do this dropped the ball, big time. All we can say is thank you for sending Danny. He is knowledgeable and the epitome of excellent customer service.
