Our neighbor purchased replacement a/c and furnace from Groff's and was very happy. The owner visited me to evaluate our needs. Very experienced. The "sales process," if you could call it that, was truly the consultative type, explaining all our options. Very professional installation. Quick. Everything ship shape. Cleaned up as they go. They fill out and submit all the paperwork for our electric and gas company's rebates for high efficiency equipment. They took the time to explain how to use the features of our new equipment . For example, we have a small split entry home, with only one heat zone. Thermostat upstairs. If its cold but sunny, or if we're doing a lot of cooking in the oven, its easy to maintain the set point upstairs without the furnace running much, and the downstairs therefore is quite a bit cooler. Occasionally need to crank up the the set point a few degrees higher than we'd like to get it warm down there, overheating the upstairs. With the new furnace's variable speed blower feature, we can leave the fan running all the time. It runs on low when theres no heating or cooling, circulating the air and making a smaller temperature difference in the two levels. The fan comes on at higher speeds only when heating or cooling. Very nice people. Family business
