Air Conditioner Installation

the phone staff is awful. experience issues everytime i call, they say they will call back and then do not.

I need to move my AC unit and had HERO come out and look at it. I have a newer home and was surprised to find that the existing unit was only rated for the finished square footage, not for the unfinished basement. It all needed to be heated/cooled regardless. HERO did a great job relocation and installation of the new Carrier unit.

Grant DeJoode did a terrific job installing our new furnace and air conitioner. We had everything installed after technician Justin Brevik came on the scene and diagnosed the problem we were having. We discussed financing with Justin got set up with the prices and products great service Justin! About 2 hours later Grant was on the scene and started installing our new products. He did a wonderful job walking us through the set up of the thermostat, I even got it set up on my phone. Grant walked us through the warranty, showed us how to install the filters etc. Grant even cleaned up after himself, using my cordless Vacuum which he loved. It was a long day, but my husband Greg and I are so grateful we had heat by late afternoon. The all in one day great experience! Justin thank you for getting everything lined up for us. Our furnace went out on a Friday, from the very beginning when Gary informed us that the issue with our furnace was more serious than we thought and gave us all the options as well as the consequences of not fixing or replacing the furnace could have. We felt he answered all of our questions openly and honestly. Ben's project management plan gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision and he was able to have a work plan for early Monday morning. Alec And Aaron arrived promptly Monday morning to remove the old furnace and install the new one, they were friendly, courteous and very knowledgable about the furnace and new thermostat that was installed and Alec answered any and all questions we had. I was disappointed that it was four hours later that the new furnace quit working because of a faulty switch. I wish in the installation process that the function of that switch was not tested before the technicians left the install. I also wished that the installers turn on the pilot light back on my gas fireplace after the technician had turned the gas off to the appliances before they did the install. The installers arrived with our gas fire place working and left with the gas fireplace not working.

Replacing HVAC systems is not cheap, and everyone has heard horror stories. The Hero staff helped us evaluate options and choose the equipment that best fit our needs. We got multiple bids and not only was Hero the most competitive, they did not use any of the high\-pressure sales tactics that their competitors did. Installation of AC system seems to have been done with time spent being more important than quality of Installation. Leveling pad "leveled" by piling up mulch from garden under one end as opposed to creating a solid base. No collar or flange used on penetration, just a bid ugly wad of putty stuck on (which Ihad to fix because I could see daylight through penetration). Refrigerant lines not together for entire run to unit, one cut too short so it hangs awkwardly away from the other. Didn't run thermostat wite through available conduit but cable tied to outside of conduit. I wish I would have selected a local mom and pop company instead. I think they would have done a neater/better job.

They did a fine job of installing my new furnace and helping me understand the different options available for purchase.

The repair tech, sales person and installers were knowledgeable and very helpful. They answered our questions and did not pressure us. I received a text at 6:30 am that sales guy was on his way but had been told day before he wouldnt arrive till 8 or 9 am, so that was a bit off. The repair guy was supposed to email a summary of his work, but I never received it.

The cost for my new furnace was quite a bit higher than other prices I found after the fact. But the convenience of next day delivery and install mitigated that quite a bit, especially when the outside temperature was \-20 and my old furnace was red tagged for a cracked heat exchanger.
