The dealer sales rep came to our home the day after I called requesting a quote. He came to solve my problem, rather than make a sell. Very early in his visit, he found a root problem with the installation of my current system and based his quote on his findings along with my desires for the new system. I received bids from four other dealers and his bid was the second highest bid. Another dealer gave me a bid on a Carrier SEER 16 that was lower than the Carrier SEER 14 I purchased from. I was informed by the sales rep that the simple replacement of my current system without correcting return air problem would just compound the problem. It?s been less than a day since they installed the new system and we now are comfortable throughout the house. Of course time will tell.
