I recently bought a home that sadly had no updates. One of those things was the A/C system that was approx. 20 yrs old. Had to update before the summer came and frank gay was quick to install the product. Had some rough patches but company was quick to make sure everything is fixed and working properly. My air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave in Orlando. Average day time temperatures were 96 to 97 with a heat index of 112. I called Frank Gay Services and they sent a technician out the same day. My AC system was 20 years old and was obsolete so it had to finally be replaced (I was not surprised at this). Three crew members showed up the very next day with two trucks of equipment (copper pipes, new wiring, new AC units, etc.) and installed the new system in one day. It was 91 degree inside my house when they finally turned on the new system around 5 PM in the evening so I was able to cool the house down before bed time which is important if you have ever slept in Florida without air conditioning. Despite working outside in the heat all day, the three gentlemen that were doing the work were more than happy to pause and answer my questions throughout the day which I am sure was frustrating for them but they were unfailingly polite and professional. After they completed the effort they cleaned up everything and even swept my driveway. I was extremely grateful for the one day turn around and I would hire them again for other jobs should the ocassion arise. Thank you.

Over priced

My old A/C ended up having a slew of problems. After discussing and getting all the details from them, it was decided to replace the AC. They were able to do this the next day and run new duct work replacing the old, inefficient ones. Great end result and I will use them again for future needs.

Very nice and professional workers. They had to return though to install a part a few days later. They worked through Florida's bad heat wave at that time. But they got it done. Thanks. I wish the unit was a little bit cheaper though. I found out a week later that mills was going to sell me same unit for $8500,00.

This company goes the extra mile to take care of the customer. I just came hoe from having a bilateral mastectomy and the house was 90 degrees. I called the company that regularly serviced the unit. She said they were too busy to come out and she would schedule me for the end of the week. I thanked her and my daughter called Frank Gay. They were at my house at 7pm that evening. He worked on the old unit for a couple hours but it was fried. Yes, I bought a new unit from Frank Gay and couldn't be happier. The entire team from installers to technicians are amazing.

Very easy company to deal with. Their Techs always explain what is going to happen before any work is done. Only downside is the company is a little more expensive than other companies in the Central Florida region.

I have no clue what I purchased. Requested, but never received an itemized invoice. The re is an air handler with UV light, model I have no clue. The outdoor unit 3 ton, that's all I know. Super complicated programmable thermostat but for the 20k+ I paid for this system you'd think the installers would have set it up. Nope. Ferran never treated me this way.

Our AC has been installed for over a month, the supervisor was supposed to come to the house, he has not come by, there is a hole on our wall they were going to fix and no one has come out or confirmed when they will come to fix it. It is great they offer a longer guarantee of labor and the unit but no great service with following up on the installation and needing to ask about it

10/03/22 Signed contract for new Carrier A/C and Heat Pump, paid in full. 10/04/22, dealer installed Carrier Heat Pump with Bryant A/C. Dealer insisted they were the same. Research shows they are not the same; United Technologies owns Carrier and Bryant. The Manager/supervisor was adamant said he would send me documentation proving Carrier and Bryant are the same even after I stated they each have different models, specifications and performance. Requested dealer to replace Bryant A/C with a Carrier A/C. Honor our contract! Thus far no response from Frank Gay Services. 10/19/2022, FGS repairman arrived to repair intermittent cooling problem \& water on the shelf. He explained drain was clogged; he would remove blockage. Gave me instructions to use 1 cup vinegar and warm water in the drain monthly to prevent further drainage issues. I read and signed the computer invoice screen showing a full description of repairs made. The actual email invoice that I received did not show anything except "Callback complete". What are they hiding and what was/is really wrong with this unit? Once again Bait and Switch! After this experience I am doubtful of the future performance of this unit and have no confidence in Frank Gay Services to honor their contracts. Because of previous work by FGS, I did not check the Better Business Bureau before signing a contract with them for a new A/C. As a senior citizen with fully functioning abilities, I can't tell you how it feels to have some unknown persons override your decision on the brand of HVAC system for your own home and install a brand that was unknown to me and never discussed during sales pitch. Be careful?

The equipment was installed in a very professional manner.

From the meeting with their salesperson through the installation process, it was evident that they were very well trained and professional. The installation was perfect and the system is working as promised.

They came for my initial service within 24 hrs. After my inspection they had me a whole new A/C up and running 2 days later. I love the future warranties and feel they are worth the money for the peace of mind.

I first felt pushed into a purchase however, I didn't understand the urgency required. I don't believe I could have gone 1 more day without either repairing or replacing the unit. Frank Gay, and the technician Roy Ortiz understood exactly. I find them trustworthy and credible. I'd highly recommend them.

Service fast but quality NOT! Daquan Waters and Javier Aponte arrived and finished the job in less than 4 hours, but left the refrigerant piping in front of the air filter so I could not even change it. They new this before they left because they tried to convince me a smaller filter fit and did not install the washable one that comes with the unit. I had explained that I buy high quality filters and change every 30 days due to my severe allergy to dust. Initially, I gave them a great review on Facebook until I got on the ladder where the air handler is 11 feet high over my laundry equipment. I had to dig out the air filter tray because it was sealed in with the mortar they used, then I realized the pipe was blocking access to the air filter. I immediately called and the next day a serviceman came out and tried to convince me I didn't need the filter. I told him I spent nearly $9,000 for this and it was unacceptable. The next day the original installers came out and moved the pipe so it barely clears. I asked for their supervisor's name and called left a message to speak with him. That was Saturday. Monday I did not call, Tuesday, I called again to complain no person in authority has addressed my complaint. They promised someone would call. Yesterday was Wednesday, no response. Today is Thursday, Thankgiving Day and I of course will not hear. I certainly will reexamine my home maintenance policy with Frank Gay for plumbing, a/c and electrical. Apparently, they cannot be trusted to address customer complaints.

Frank Gay was ready to replace my a/c and did the installation as promised. We had a few hiccups along the way to get the installation completed and the inspection passed, but Frank Gay kept open communication and kept commitments. Their staffs \-\- from service, to installation, to permitting . . . were always responsive.

Frank Gay lives up to its reputation and goes beyond. It is my new partner for all related projects.

Our installation was botched via multiple points of failure. Shoddy drain, incorrect placement of drain pan and sensor led to water leaking from vents the very next day, damaging my ceiling. Customer service was great but install and follow up leaves much to be desired. First and last time I use frank gay services.

Julio Guzman and Roberto Mactal both professional air conditioning installers. They worked continuously until vacum running on unit. Then 20 minutes later cold air! Both installers went above and beyond for perfect installation that looks Great!

SO FAR SO GOOD WITH FRANKS

Shows up late for install, was told that my old thermostat was compatible with new system when I purchased new unit but installers insist it won't work and install new basic thermostat. Installer told me they could not install a disconnect for the unit (which is required by code) because they could not find a disconnect at Home Depot, and also that another technician would be out there in a day or two to install it (two weeks later and I still don't have a disconnect). After the unit was installed and technicians left, my garage door, garage lights, washer and dryer would not work, breakers were ok so I called and Frank Gay said they would send someone out. This technician said that the washing machine was unplugged and is what caused all the issues, why was my washing machine even unplugged and how would that cause my garage door and lights not to work? Made numerous calls trying to find out when they were planning to come out to put the disconnect in and finish the install only to get passed around departments until someone finally tells me someone from management will call me in a couple minutes, no calls, texts or emails have been received. I can't even get anyone from the company to send me a copy of the initial inspection of my old unit for insurance purposes, even though they have told me they have it but it has to get sent from the management office. I am a pretty laid back guy and know that issues arise every now and then out of your control, but the amount of issues I have been dealing with literally makes Frank Gay one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. But at least the unit had been working well so far.

Great experience. They did a great job explaining everything and providing me with choices. Had a new central a/c system installed the next day. They cleaned up everything and my garage was cleaner than when they arrived! My new Carrier system is working great, keeping me comfortable and I know it will be saving me some money long term as it is a more efficient system.
