Air Conditioner Installation

I found myself in a rather unfortunate situation when my A/C unit decided to blow up. Newmans has done some maintenance for me in the past, so I called them. Within an hour or two, a young man arrived to assess the situation. After he diagnosed the issue, he explained that they could fix the issue, but it would be more logical to update the HVAC system, as the old one used an absolute refrigerant. As I waited on the quote, I did some research about the parts and equipment, and did a couple quick online comparisons. I had a quote within the hour, and it was very reasonable. They did me a solid, shot me straight, and I felt very comfortable doing business with Newmans. They have a great crew, and a well-deserved, solid reputation. I chose Newmans for several reasons. Although their bid for a complete system changeout was not the lowest, I was impressed by their attention to my needs for an upgrade. They told me of problems with my existing ductwork that I didn't know, and explained how a new HVAC system wouldn't work at its maximum efficiency if connected to the old ductwork. They also provided a list of four systems of varying price recommended for replacement of mine, rather than just a single recommendation. When I called with questions regarding the advantages of the different systems Ray was patient and thorough with his answers, helping me to reach a decision with no pressure at all. I especially appreciated how they didn't offer an estimate during their initial visit, but did so only after spending a considerable amount of time at my home a 1600 sf single family residence, looking over my current system and measuring for duct system replacement, and then carefully putting together a materials list and checking vendor prices over the next few days. Once I decided to go with them, they commenced the work within two weeks (I was not working on any type of deadline and told them to start at their availability). My old system, including all existing ductwork, was removed, and the new system , including ductwork, was installed in only two and a half days. The crew was polite, and picked up/cleaned up behind themselves as the job progressed. I would recommend Newmans to anyone looking for HVAC work. I do not believe that I would have received the same level of service nor would I have been as satisfied with the job had I chosen any other company.

Ray and his crew did a super job installing our new AC unit, and made sure we were satisfied throughout the process. When the installation was not complete at the end of the day, requiring one additional part to complete the job, he even offered to cover the cost of a motel room so we would be comfortable overnight. We assured him that wasn't necessary, and he was back early the next morning, as promised. They made sure we were instructed on the use of the fancy new thermostat, and told us to call if we had ANY questions or problems. We are very satisfied with Newmans' service!

Newmans has been doing our preventative maintenance for several years. When it came time to replace our old system, I didn't hesitate to hire them for this work. As always, they showed up when they promised, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to work with.

The equipment exchange happened as promised in \< 1 day, 2 complete AC units. The team came out one more time to explain the use of the new thermostats as I was not present when they finished the install. one minor glitch was fixed the next day. Overall great experience. Newmans Heating and AC came out to replace my existing AC and Heating Units with a Carrier Infinity AC Evaporator Coil and Gas furnace. The Newmans Heating and AC crew were efficient, professional, through, clean and made sure I had an understanding of the operation of the units before they left the house. They come highly recommended to service and install HVAC units.

Our old unit was close to dying so we called Newmans to find out how bad our old unit was and how much it would cost to replace it. They sent a respresentative out to look over our home and existing system and talk with us about options. We received their bids by the next day and it had a lot of options. We picked out what we wanted and they ordered it and installed it in one day the following week. All the people that we worked with from Newmans were nice and knowledgeable. This is our second home in Gainesville and Newmans replaced the system in our last home as well. We wouldn't use anyone else.

I had my house unit replaced with my sunroom 2 part ductless unit. They provided fast and excellent service. The cost was good and wasn't anymore then the other quotes I received. Glenn was willing to go over any concerns and answer any questions I had.

The equipment installers were very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, completed the installation quickly, and demonstrated how to use the computerized thermostat.
