Verified PurchaseService department failed to disclose critical information prior to purchase of replacement coil

The service technicians are almost uniformly competent and professional, however the service department failed to disclose that replacement compressors are no longer available prior to our purchase of a replacement coil. The compressor failed within 24 hours of installation of the new coil. No refund or compensation was offered or provided. We discovered after the fact, on our own, that replacement compressors are no longer being manufactured. We would never have invested over $3700 in a new coil had the service department simply disclosed this information. The installation of the completely new system cost over $12,000 when it should have cost \~$8,000, due to this non\-disclosure. The scheduling of the mandated inspection by the County was botched. Luckily, I happened to be home when the County inspector arrived. The inspection of the new AC system that had been installed by AirFlow Designs in 2017 had never been scheduled, so the County inspector took care of that at the same time at my request. The scheduling of duct cleaning was botched and I had to call the office to confirm the rescheduled visit. The 3\-star rating is based mostly on past performance, which had been 4 to 5 star until this installation fiasco.

Knowledgeable explanation and options for new Carrier heat pump/compressor unit. Reviewed in detail, existing unit and potential problems. Bill Porter physically showed me the two problems. Presented proposal with two options and did not push the more expensive unit. Answered many questions which I had, etc. etc. I also met with a very large competitor for presentation and pricing. Did not spot one of the problems I had, \-\- and I physically saw it \-\- pricing was not competitive. My confidence level was not with this company and softly pushed the more expensive unit. Installation with Air Flow, Orlando \-\-\- Can't say enough. Justin, Oscar and T.J. were Perfect! (I don't know the last time I said that) They were professional, knew what they were doing, polite, constantly working for almost 8 hrs and it was hot. They cleaned up everything and I mean everything, took old units away, and then \-\- swept the garage floor. When finished, reviewed so many items with me, including new thermostat. They constantly wanted to make sure I understood everything before they left. What a great crew!
