The Carrier® 38VMR VRF heat recovery outdoor unit is a compact, high‑capacity solution designed for commercial applications requiring simultaneous heating and cooling across multiple zones. Available in a single‑module, non‑modular design from 6 to 28 tons, the system supports connection of up to 64 indoor units using a 2‑pipe heat recovery configuration. Inverter‑driven scroll compressors and DC inverter fan motors deliver efficient performance across a wide operating range, while compliance with NEC, ETL, and AHRI 1230 standards ensures reliable operation and simplified system integration.
Inverter‑driven scroll compressors and DC inverter condenser fan motors provide efficient, reliable performance across a broad ambient range. The system supports cooling from 14°F to 122°F and heating from ‑13°F to 60°F, with power options for 208/230V or 460V three‑phase applications.
Built to meet NEC, ETL, and AHRI 1230 standards, the 38VMR features a durable finned tube heat exchanger and compatibility with R‑410A refrigerant. Integrated controls, quick‑connect control architecture, and a single power connection for 28‑ton systems help streamline installation and commissioning.
