The Carrier 40VMA Outside Air Duct is a VRF indoor unit designed to introduce fresh ventilation air into commercial spaces while integrating seamlessly with Carrier® VRF heat pump or heat recovery systems. Installed within a plenum, the 40VMA supports balanced indoor air quality by delivering outside air alongside other VRF indoor unit types, helping meet ventilation requirements without sacrificing system efficiency or design flexibility.
Engineered to meet rigorous commercial standards, the unit complies with NEC wiring requirements and is constructed in accordance with ETL guidelines. Proven components such as a DC fan motor, finned tube heat exchanger, and R‑410A refrigerant compatibility help ensure consistent, reliable operation.
Standard quick-connect controls and a factory-installed IR receiver streamline setup and commissioning. All unit settings can be configured directly from the remote controller, reducing installation time and supporting easier system adjustments.
