Why Choose Block Load?

User-Friendly Design

Block Load features an intuitive tree-view navigation system, making it easy to manage your project. All your data is visible and readily accessible.

Accuracy

The program employs rigorous cooling load calculations based on ASHRAE® Radiant Time Series (RTS) or Transfer Function Method (TFM). This ensures accurate peak load data, eliminating the risk of over- or under-sizing your HVAC systems.

Versatile Applications

Whether you're working on a single-zone rooftop unit or a 100-zone VAV central air handler, Block Load adapts effortlessly. It supports both English and S.I. Metric units and generates professional-quality reports for any project.

Comprehensive Support

Block Load includes a built-in help system for quick answers to operational questions. For more complex issues, Carrier offers free, unlimited technical support from trained HVAC engineers.

Key Features

Load Calculation Highlights

The system employs ASHRAE-endorsed Radiant Time Series (RTS) and Transfer Function Method (TFM) to deliver precise cooling and heating load calculations. It computes room and zone loads for all cooling design days across all 12 months, ensuring accurate identification of peak zone and coil loads. Designed for sizing a wide range of HVAC systems—including rooftop units, VRF, central station air handling units, fan coils, and water source heat pumps—the tool also features a comprehensive global database of design weather data covering more than 700 cities worldwide.

Reporting Capabilities

The program delivers professional, concise reports summarizing key sizing data while providing detailed zone and system load profiles, including hourly psychrometric information. Reports can be printed or exported to PDF and word processor formats, and advanced diagnostic tools are included to analyze load results and system performance for deeper insights.

Other Program Features

The program features intuitive tree-view navigation and flexible input options, including spreadsheet-style formats, while supporting both English and S.I. Metric units for global usability. It offers powerful search-and-replace functionality for efficient data management and automatically adjusts building orientation to streamline project updates.
