Carrier’s 50WE WeatherExpert® rooftops (RTU) with Puron Advance™ (R-454B) and EcoBlue™ Fan Technology, offer an environmentally sustainable solution for a brighter future. With a GWP of 466 and similar performance to R-410A, Puron Advance easily exceeds the EPA's new, stringent, <700 GWP refrigerant requirement. Our direct drive EcoBlue™ indoor fan system uses a Vane Axial fan and electronically commutated motor and all 50WE models are designed and configured for expanded envelope operation. 50WE models can operate as a single zone AC, multizone VAV unit, or with up to 100% outdoor air for ventilation or make-up air. All units include new options that enable 100% outdoor air operation including modulating low load protection valve to prevent refrigerant circuit issues, and double wall construction option. All units include Carrier SmartVu™ controls for control flexibility, ease of setup and commissioning, and simplified troubleshooting.
