ADD-LDAP
The ADD‑LDAP add‑on lets i‑Vu authenticate users through LDAP or Active Directory, using each operator’s i‑Vu username to locate their directory entry. It applies configured search bases and filters to validate users, and once enabled, leverages existing network security for credential management while still allowing optional local operators in i‑Vu.
The ADD‑LDAP add‑on enables secure authentication for the i‑Vu building automation system using LDAP or Active Directory credentials. It centralizes user management, supports multiple authentication methods, and simplifies system administration.
With support for Simple authentication with TLS and Digest‑MD5 (with or without TLS), the add‑on adapts to varied security requirements. These options help organizations align the i‑Vu system with their existing IT security standards.
Once configured, user credentials are managed through the organization’s network security, eliminating the need to maintain separate access records. A mixed‑mode option allows selected local operators to be maintained directly within i‑Vu for added flexibility.
