It's doing the job
March 15, 2025
I just built a super tight home and anticipated having some condensation issues--and I did. My HVAC guy had suggested adding one of these units before we started and I decided to do so. Left it off over the summer after moving in, as the AC pulled out excess moisture. When the weather started to cool, I was seeing condensation on all windows so kicked it on. Windows no longer sweat. It's in my crawl space and I can't hear it running, even though it's on 24/7. It has not impacted my electric bill. The only thing that I didn't like was on single digit days the air was nowhere near as warm as I would have liked and I noticed a distinct cool draft. I'm going to talk to the HVAC contractor and see if it's possible to adjust the flow or the time it runs. But overall, I'm glad I installed it.
